Me and my girlfriend went to opening night. What a show!!!!!!!!!!! We were about 10 feet from Chris and Stone. They were so tight and locked in. Pushing Forward Back, War Pigs, etc. This show lived up to the expectations and beyond!

IMO, a theater is the perfect setting for TOTD. Sound and mix were great. Couldn't have asked for a better line-up of covers, too. Glad to be there for the 1st show of the 1st tour. Thanks to the very selfless member who hooked us up with AMAZING seats. What a great way to celebrate, what a night.
  • Anyone have a recording of the show or can direct me how to get it? Thanks

ditto.. I'd love a copy too. I really hope they release the boots for this show, but I'm thinking they won't.

I saw that the Traders Den has a copy up (AUD recording). Can't vouch for the quality (just saw it now).

If you just want the mp3 files, there was a link in the Traders Den thread:

The quality is pretty decent. Not soundboard official bootleg obviously but pretty good.

The audio by TJ Samulis is the best that I've seen available. It's what I used to edit the show, which was just posted last night. Check it out.. re-live the show.

Damn Matt, you got the show I went to! Thanks for all the effort man, I was watching San Fran a week or two ago, it was phenomenal. I can't wait to watch Philly 1 this weekend.

On a side note, it still stings just a little that this was the only show where they didn't play R.O.D. I'm thrilled to have been able to see TOTD, and the cover songs were mind blowing - the show was more than I could have ever hoped for, but it hurts a little knowing I came THAT close to seeing McCready play R.O.D.

    Oh well,

(PS who knows? Maybe they play some more shows, they've certainly been teasing the idea on their twitter feed)

Yeah this is the only one I made as well. I really wanted to hear some Mad Season.. I would have loved to hear Chris sing Wake Up... but no complaints. Achilles was such a surprise and one of my fav zeps ever.

I watched 2/3 of it last Sunday night. It was heartbreaking, but helpful at the same time. I too feel very fortunate to have been there. This was an amazing night.

I rarely watch the shows I edit after publishing but this one I did last weekend.  I'm not embarrassed to say I cried during Golden Words. But I felt better after.

My pleasure.  We decided to do a box set.   Both Phillies,  Seattle 1 and maybe 2, SF from Steve D., and some other work he has done and SG shows.  It will be 3 or 4 blu rays at least.

    Same.

I’ll forever be greatful i scored tickets for this show and made the drive from Boston. I’ve watched the Blu-ray more times than I care to count, & this was hands down one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen.

    RIP Chris, you’re sorely missed.

I forgot today was the anniversary.  Thanks for the reminder.  It was definitely one of the greatest shows I've ever witnessed as well.  I was blown away in the moment but a year later, the memory and love of the evening has only grown.

Very nice.  I still have the Klausen waiting but the flyer was nice and easy.
I like the green frame.  It eliminates the need for a mat.  Where did you get it, or did you have to get it custom made?  It drives me nuts that most of the stores carry 11.75", not 12".
  • Custom...I think I had to with this size

Two years removed, and I think this was the mountain for me as a fan of live music. I'm hard pressed to see how anything will top what we saw that night.

I agree... night one was perfect.  I'm not sure it was their best "performance" (remember the audio issues during a few songs?), but the anticipation was just awesome.  No one knew what was coming out.  Along with hearing all the album songs, the covers were great.  I think I lost it when they played Achilles, which is my fav Zep song of all time.  I couldn't believe they went with that one.  And then War Pigs during the encore... awesome.
