Ride Festival Announced tomorrow

Ride Festival said last year Pearl Jam was already invited back. Obviously its up to them if they can make it work, but the guys seemed to really enjoy themselves and brought their families out for the week. Hoping for good news tomorrow (good news you get to spend 1000 bucks to go to Telluride!)

As a resident, I can tell you many locals are hoping for a PJ return (and Neil...)

I really hope the return as well, best organized festival I've ever been to and of course a beautiful back drop as well. I don't know if they would really have them headline two years in a row though even if the band wanted to, I doubt that makes much sense from a planning perspective, have to keep it fresh, etc. On the other hand I'm sure they created better ticket sales and more money for the town...so who knows. I for one would be back 100% if they are announced.

That was an amazing experience last year and it was both of my daughter's first shows so it will always have a special place in our family. (Although, they did not play Lightning Bolt for some reason, my oldest daughter's favorite PJ song.) If, a big IF, they get announced again it will be bittersweet as that was not a cheap weekend!

This was a show I totally would have done in a year like 2012 where there wasn't much touring going on. Had committed to too many other PJ shows by the time this was on the radar.

I was about to say there is no way PJ would play again this year, but looks like that's been proven with the Beck pic above :)

Last year was (I think) almost a financial disaster for the organizers due to the extreme ticket price due to PJ. The food vendors did well and the crowd size ended up being ok but apparently it was very last minute with single day tickets etc.

I almost signed up to volunteer just in case it was someone I really liked (Foo Fighters before I knew FF were on a Europe tour at that time) and then cancel if it wasn't... but glad I didn't take their time. Won't be going for Beck & Ben Harper. Awesome location though and a fun festival (my first one last year)!

They raised their prices because of pj?

By about $100 if I recall correctly. I think it was about $290 with fees last year.

Indeed. They had the posters from years past by where you picked up tickets last year and it was interesting to see the prices. First year I think it was under $100. Then it was like $120 then $160 then a little higher then last year was $275 plus fees. I mean it's PEARL JAM but the festival was less crowded than other concerts they have there and did not sell out because the price (and location/hard to get to/lodging on top of a $300 ticket).

It was knocking on the door of $290. I went and t was a magical experience but it was no easy trek and super expensive.

Last year the temperance movement played a small venue late one night I think. Word is they brought the house down. If you're going I'd check that out.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?
