Or somewhere else perhaps? Would fans be ok with it?

The only reason I bring it up is, Steely Dan, my dad's favorite band is doing a 9 show stint in Vegas. I'd be ok with it in say 10-15 years or so.

Don't see too many rock bands doing this.

However, with the current trend I could see that changing in years to come.

    As far as, PJ...nope.

BUT IF THEY DID...think of the Merch! Think of the Merch, yo'!

Eddie's on record as saying that they only reason they play Vegas is because Kelly Curtis likes to go there. So, I don't see it happening in Vegas.

Didn't Mike give an interview recently where he mentioned doing this one day?

He did mention it, but I think he meant playing a smaller type venue with historical significance...my bias vote would be for The Ryman in Nashville

They did four shows in Philly. Does that count?

for a band like Pearl Jam I always thought a residency in their home town would be a great idea for them. Like Billy Joel at MSG. If touring is such a grind and your fan base likes to travel, make them all travel to Seattle once a month or so. Makes sense from their standpoint. I doubt they would ever do it but I can see from an artist's perspective how it might make sense

I think PJ would have problems selling tix to a large venue Seattle residency... Billy Joel can pull it off because it's NYC, MSG, and he is a native son

PJ could do a residency at the Paramount in Seattle, but not the Key Arena. Much like the Allman Brothers did regularly at the Beacon Theater. I don't see PJ doing a Las Vegas residency. I could see Ed doing one.

Hahahaha. That would be messed up. No, they'd never do that IMO, for a few different reasons.

Wilco does residencies in Chicago and their fans eat it up. Granted the PJ fan base is larger but same sentiment. I wouldn't want it to be in Vegas, though.

A few years back they did that Chicago residence of sorts when they hit like 5 different venues in a week..that was cool.
