Highlights for me Seasons, Four Walled World, Hungerstrike, Times of Trouble, River of Deceit, Say Hello to Heaven, Wooden Jesus, Star Dog Champion. $25 parking was ridiculous though,..

Just got home and still wrapping my mind around this. Ok, so i know these guys are talented... PJ has been my favorite band for years and SG has always been in my rotation... but this show really lets them showcase their skills in a way i have never seen them before. Mike was on fire, Matt Fucking Cameron jesus christ i cant even get into what he did, jeff was well he was jeff but more subdued and focused than i tend to see, stone looked like he was having more fun than any PJ show ive seen, and Cornell he brought it i mean wailed like he was possessed one second and serenading us like an angel the next. Sorry if im babbling but it was just so so good.

  • Great show last night. Very nice floor seats thanks to Ten Club! Cornell was fantastic. Pretty funny tonight with his ramblings about how they have been practicing for 25 years now and finally think they got it right. Like many have already mentioned, the highlight of the show was McCready. He was in the zone last night and channeling some good stuff! Not sure if it was just my seats, but the sound was not great. Not sure how well the soundcheck went but was hard at times to hear Cornell. They seemed to clean it up though after the 1st set.

The crowd "sing along" for Hunger Strike was fantastic. Times of Trouble was beautiful. And to see them go from Zeppelin, to Bowie, then to The Cure showed just how talented these guys are.

I know it is a small gripe, but that was the best tour shirt they could come up with? The album cover on a black shirt or simple purple text on a grey shirt? At least I saved myself $35 there.

Amazing show! No special appearances from any 'LA Friends' or the elusive EV, but it was fantastic nonetheless obviously.

The whole TOTD album, most of my favorite MLB songs, River of Deceit, Seasons, and of course those great covers! Negrito was a really good opener too.

The only bummer (besides no EV who I wasn't expexting anyway) was no Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns. They have to save somethong special for Seattle I suppose.

PJ in San Diego 2017 please!!!!

  • The show was amazing and that's no surprise! Thank you TenClub for the great floor seats and so glad u had chairs (not bc I actually sit but bc it's nice to have a space to claim my own). Missed you EV, hope to see Pearl Jam sooner than later.

Kind of funny that through the years at Pearl Jam shows it was always a hope Chris Cornell would appear as a surprise guest for Hungerstrike. I was fortunate to see happen it 4 times (Santa Barbara 2003, LA 3 2009, PJ20 Nights 1,2) Now its people hoping to luck out and see Eddie play with Chris. The way Chris said Eddie is not with us "tonight" leads me to believe he will hit the last Seattle show, as payback to Chris for all his special appearances. Plus waiting till the end means you get it on a live Blu-ray and don't have the distraction of people calling for Eddie all show taking away from the other musicians.

  • I agree PJammer4life. It was not at all about EV last nite and had no expectations of seeing him but couldn't help myself from bringing his name up on my comment above bc it is a PEARL JAM site

I totally agree! They were as tight as could be and it helped not expecting to see EV... I felt like the audience was very present and rode the wave they took us on!

Fucking amazing show. I was psyched as soon as the tour was announced, but had no idea they would sound THIS good after only a few shows together. Cornell's voice was mesmerizing and it was very easy to see that Stone, Jeff, Mike, and Matt were having a blast. As much as I love PJ's music and shows, I don't think I've seen those guys on fire as much as I did last night. Nothing will top a PJ gig but this was a great experience and getting to see the "rest" of the band shredding with Cornell will always be a treasured PJ memory.

Highlights were War Pigs, Reach Down, Call Me a Dog, Man of Golden Words, Times of Trouble, River of Deceit (!) and of course Say Hello 2 Heaven and Hunger Strike.

Also a big thank you to the 10 Club for amazing seats. 7th row dead center. Best seats I've ever received from the fan club, by far. (I'm 198xxx).

Agreed that the shirts left something to be desired but I rationalized buying one by reminding myself that fashion in the 90s as a whole left something to be desired so maybe that was the intent? ;)

Hopefully if he does show up in Seattle he attends both shows. Obviously him being there steps things up another notch with the real live version of Hunger Strike. I would know I'd be a little bummed if I found out he went to the Seattle show I didn't managed to score tickets for :(

  • Show was tremendous. I think Matt is always incredible but he was rediculously great last night. These songs really showcase his talent.

Chris did an incredible job on Man of Golden Words. River of Deceipt was awesome.
Achilles Last Stand and War Pigs blew me away.

Sure would love this one on an official bootleg!

First off, damn what a great show. But why a Monday night? My ass has been dragging all week. By the time I got a bacon wrapped hot dog in the parking lot and got out of the venue it was after 12. Thank God I got the TJ dog instead of going to Randy’s Donuts like I planned, the line was ridiculous when I drove by. I didn’t get back home to San Diego until 2:30. I went to bed around 3 with my ears still ringing and was up at 6:15 for work.

Pre-show chicken and waffles at Roscoe’s was great. Had a couple of beers in the parking lot but thankfully my small bladder had me in the venue in time to catch the opener which was great. His cover of “Where did you sleep last night” was my favorite.

10C seats were great. At first I was not happy with them. Section 112 row 13. Was on Stones side even with the front of the stage, my view was under the speaker stack completely from the side. I was hoping for Mikes side so that was a bummer, but what a great vantage point to watch Matt.

Best song by far was Reach Down followed closely by Achilles and War Pigs. Chris sounded amazing. What an incredible range he has, to go from primal wails to melodic and back again. I am one of those who was somewhat hopeful that Eddie would show and maybe we would hear Crown of Thorns, but that would have only been a bonus. I didn’t feel the LA crowd did his part justice on Hunger Strike. I saw the east coast shows on youtube and it sounded good on the recordings, and maybe LA does too on recordings, but in the venue I couldn’t hear the crowd well and I’m not sure everyone even knew the words. Really the only disappointment of the night. Tom Morello and Serj Tankian were one row in front of me and I was hopeful Tom would show up on stage during the encore for some Audioslave.

Times of Trouble was good, it made me hope there is a DJ somewhere working on a Footsteps/Times of Trouble mash up. That would be interesting.

River of Deceit got me thinking of how many great artists have died from drug use and how much great music we have all missed out on due to it. I have empathy for those who deal with addiction but for the life of me I can’t figure out why such wildly talented people engage in such self destructive behavior.

I will say that this tour has brought me back to the Temple songs as well as Apple and I’m glad for it. The Mother Love Bone songs are great, definitely a glam feel to them, but I’m okay with that. They belong in an arena. I think Stargazer is my favorite. Man of Golden Words was great too. Great night, and I’m still paying the price. I can’t wait for Friday, I need sleep.

The poster is awesome, cant wait to see Seattle's and how the 3 fit together. I also appreciated the vendor booth outside the venue so I could put my poster in the car and not have to deal with it all night.

Bring on a 2017 Pearl Jam tour with west coast dates, it's been 3 years. Its our turn.

Let's see, the last time I had tickets for anything at the Forum, it was called The Great Western Forum and the Lakers still played there. Needless to say, parking was not $25 back then. Seems that the owners are taking advantage of the fact that the parking lot next door at Hollywood Park is a pile of dirt, but that's on them.
Thank you to the Club for the floor seats; my daughter and I had the experience of a lifetime, not one we'll soon forget. Chris was amazing, as always and the boys did every note justice, but Mike and Matt played like two men possessed...to say they were "great" is embarrassingly inadequate. We were blown away.

Fantabulous show!! The guys were absolutely amazing!! Loved every minute!! Especially Achilles Last Stand, River of Deceit, Call Me a Dog, Times of Trouble and War Pigs. God Bless Andy! I'm sure he enjoyed the show from the "sky" box seat... Thank you Mike and 10C for the awesome floor seats (section E, row 6, inside aisle 1 & 2).
    All Those Yesterdays.....
  • Very good show. We were sitting on Mike's side of the stage. He was absolutely on fire. Highlights for me were Seasons, Stardog Champion, Holy Roller, Man of Golden Words and Reach Down. Everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves. Stone especially looked like he was having a great time. Cornell sounded really good. All of the guys were sitting side stage when Cornell played MAGW/Comfortably Numb and they were absolutely into it - very cool to see. I've now seen a few shows at the refurbished Forum and it's one of my favorite large arena venues.

Yeah...just did some simple math. I believe there were about 18K people there. Assuming everyone came in pairs (which is a stretch being a Monday night show. I know a few people who met up there) that is 9K cars at $25 each. Plus, the "premiere parking" was sold out which was 40. So even at everyone paying $25, that is $225,000 just in parking. The Forum definitely made some money off of us.
