Holy f-in sh*t! That was well worth the wait! I'm in my truck now heading back to the hotel and still trying to wrap my head around what I was lucky enough to witness, that was simply incredible!

Very similar setlist to last night, except they played River of Deceit and a song called Missing. Chris said it was from a time when Jeff was throwing out song titles for a movie (guessing Singles?). One was Seasons, another was Spoonman (everyone cheered thinking they would play Spoonman) and then this song, Missing.

It was such a treat to hear River of Deceit with a full band. I've only heard it live when Chris did it solo. Amazing.

    Seasons sounded incredible tonight.

And OMG, can I just say: MATT FUCKING CAMERON!!! It may be time to resurrect the sign :)

Agree with whoever who said they have room to grow. I think they sounded tighter tonight. Looking forward to MSG!

River of Deceit and Missing excellent additions to the set list from night 1. Again blown away by Achilles Last Stand and War Pigs covers. Well worth the trip.

The band was much tighter tonight and the mix was more on on. Last night, Chris got a little lost, but tonight I could hear him most of the night.

River of Deceit was worth the trip alone. Amazing to finally see this gem live.

Amazing. Enjoyed every second! Wasn't at last night's show so can't compare. I thought they sounded tight and I left there thinking that there's not a single song they couldn't play well. Seemed like they were have a blast just playing music. I agree sometimes I wanted the vocal a tiny bit more prominent. Highlights for me were river of deceit, man of golden words with comfortably numb tag. Mike solo on reach down!!!! Also STONE was grooving all night. Totally into it.

Please tell me I'm not nuts. I swear I heard organ but boom was nowhere to be seen

The organ sound was prominent at the beginning of Achilles Last Stand. Didn't really notice it anywhere else. Maybe Boom was backstage playing...

  • Amazing show!! I agree that Stone was grooving all night... much more than I've seen him do in PJ shows. Overall, the guys really seemed to be having a great time getting out to play these songs...and to play them so well! They seem to play like a seasoned band that has been touring for years and to be only on their second show! they will continue to improve (if that is possible). It is cool to hear Cornell sing a song like Say Hello to Heaven with a slight change in phrasing and delivery it shows how years of experience has honed his craft. I hope there will be some official bootlegs of these shows.

Great show. Matt was playing out of his mind. I got one of Mike's picks. Boom was most definitely in the building... he kept bringing the guitars out for Stone. Didn't you notice? ;)

  • Amazing show. I feel like these shows are only gonna keep getting better. I heard an Organ as well. Highlights for me were Say Hello 2 Heaven, River of Deceit (everyone went nuts when that started) Seasons, Pushin Forward back, also the crowd singing Vedders part on Hunger Strike was pretty amazing too. Also I'm surprised no on mentioned this but the show was being filmed it seemed. Maybe they are making a documentary or something about this tour. Time will tell I guess.

What a great show. I had seats on the floor directly to the left of the soundboard and the mix was perfect. Really enjoyed Chris's vocals and Stone was absolutely killing it, especially during Seasons. Holy Roller was so much fun with a great groove and all the guys doing back up vocals.
After the encore I noticed people were leaving ?!?! So I decided to abandon my super tight packed row and head up front to some newly vacated real estate.By Times of Trouble I was in the 4th row, with a killer view, but the sound was definitely more muffled. Crowd was so into War Pigs, lots of fists pumping, and that Cure cover was sick.
One thing I gotta say is it was a nice change to hear the PJ sound w/o keyboards. (Sorry Boom)
It was more bass heavy and had a funky dance groove and allowed plenty of opportunity to let Mike just shred.
So glad I got to experience this in the intimate setting of the Tower. Don't think MSG will have quite the same feel.

The crowd was better Friday, a lot more engergy but the band sounded better night 2. Seems like they had some sound issues Friday night, parts of songs where you could barely here the vocals. Had a great time at both shows and loved hearing River of Deceit night 2.

And hearing a Syd Barrett song was just amazing and something I never thought I'd hear live.

  • Am I the only one who noticed Mike eff up River of Deceit? Bless him. :peace:
It was definitely a great experience and I thought the guys truly delivered. The covers were ok in my opinion (though I loved Quicksand for Bowie and the Cure's). War Pigs had everybody go nuts. Who thoughts a bunch of PH fans would be so into Sabbath
The MLB tunes were a lot better than I thought. CC did a great job. But, what went on during Holy Roller in the spoken part? I couldn't tell from where I was sitting. Did they play a different version of Andy's lyrics or did Chris do the spoken part?
We are very lucky bastards to be able to witness this.
I also thought this was being filmed so maybe we will get a Christmas treat?

went from row 2 dead center night 1 to upper balcony for night 2 and had almost as good a time. Drove straight home after the show Saturday and slept most of yesterday just so I would be ready for tonight's show. I want to thank Brian again for the unreal spare, and the PJ locals who always make me feel at home in Philly. Thanks again fellas. If any of u make it MSG hit me up, I got sum fire.
