Chicago Transportation from airport (with carseat)

Hi guys, does any have any suggestions for getting from O'Hare to Andersonville on Saturday that offers a car seat? We are travelling with our 9 month daughter and were hoping we didnt have to haul our car seat and base around. If we do have to, we will but we are weighing our options. It seems like most are approx. $80 with a car seat and that seems a little high especially considering we will need to get back to the airport as well. $150 for 2 trips seems a little absurd! Any insight would be great! Thanks!!!

PS Uber is not an option

You can take a train right from the airport and you won't need a car seat. Chicago has great public transportation.

Blue Line from O'Hare to Jefferson Park, then take the Foster bus east. Or take the Blue Line all the way downtown then hop on the Red up to Berwyn.

Thanks for the input everyone! About how long would that train ride be?

We are staying at the Andersonville Guesthouse. We stayed there in 2013 and it was fantastic!

Well, that couldn't be more perfect. I was planning on heading in to the city around 11. I basically live 15 minutes from O'Hare. If you want to bring the car seat along, I will be more than happy to pick you and your family up at O'Hare, and drive you to Andersonville. I lived in Andersonville for YEARS. This will save you the hassle of a bus, cab, train, etc. Consider it my good deed of the year. Haha

But yeah, if you want a ride to Andersonville from O'Hare, I will be more than happy to make it happen.

You caught me in a good mood today! Hahahaha

Not the 1st time I have made that offer here on the board, over the years. Every once in a while I try to be "The Good Guy" Hahahaha

But yeah, for just about every show here in Chicago, since 2003, I am pretty sure I am picking up or dropping off someone at O'Hare. Ha

Try something like this, it comes in handy and it's cheaper. Plus you can get future use of it. http://m.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12320162

I got one for $50 so shop around!

Yes! Especially for traveling with a toddler you can use it like a stroller.

I've got a car seat I can loan Speedy when he picks you up. I'll drop off at his house earlier that week and pick it up whenever. My kids don't need it anymore. Let me know.
    Later, Chris.
