Are the reissued vinyls remixed to have the dynamic range compressed aka loudness?

Yah... Pretty much anything made in the last 15 to 20 years does. Exceptions are very rare. It's the modern way to master things. It's why I cringe when there's a reissue and it's labeled as remastered. I think mastering was much better in the early/mid 90s.

I have the 24bit versions that are the reissue for both albums already (the label accidentally released them early on PonoMusic - snagged them before they went down). The dynamic range is less, in terms of the numbers, on close to all the tracks. I don't like to do a lot of A/B comparisons, but I can tell you they sound great. Hoping the vinyl remasters have more dynamic range, otherwise they sound pretty good to me.

    Exactly.
    Now, remastered = brickwalled.

It's wierd because back in the day I don't think they did seperate masters for vinyl (and most of the time I still don't they don't). They make one high quality master, and then it's used for all the mediums (vinyl, cd, digital, casette, etc..). The odds of vinyl getting their own master are slim to none. I think the ten/vs/vitalogy vinyl comes from the same source as the cd. It's not like it goes Master to CD to Vinyl. It's Master to CD, Master to Vinyl. Usually a single source Master.
