Hell yeah it was an amazing show and Eds interactions and gifts made it even more special for me. What a set! Ghost, Rival, Of the Earth, Army Reserve, Smile, I Won't Back Down, I Am A Patriot... Amazing. Cannot wait till GA for Greenville and Hampton!

this is sooooo true.. Went to a show in philly couple years back and some girl 5 rows in front of me was holding up a sign for most of the show.. People kept telling her to put it down but she just kept holding it up..I hate signs at shows...or if you really need to have one maybe hold it up once
for a second then throw it away...

Great thing about being front row is you don't have to hold the sign up for them to see it. Like I said in another thread. I held it up after on song but it rested on the rail the rest of the night. And if a sign is effective AND its not blocking other people's view then it's a win win. I'm not going to be in front of everyone and hold a sign up really high, that's just being disrespectful. Anyways looking forward to Greenville Hampton Raleigh and Columbia.

I don't feel entitled. IDK all i was saying is it was an already great day meeting really cool people and fans from all over and then the show was epic and made even more special for me for a particular reason. How is that entitlement? I don't believe I am inherently deserving of special treatment, BUT if you wait outside in the pouring rain over night for over 24 hours and you put in the time and effort and end up having something special happen, then that is cool. On the other hand if it didn't happen it would have been fine too because the band is great and the show was great even without all the added bonuses I experienced. This was all just icing on the cake for me and I thought it was cool. I never said "You must give me things or do these things Pearl Jam or I will be upset and never listen to you again" or "I deserve these things because i did such and such..." I don't believe in that. But, if I do do certain things and then something cool or special happens on top of everything else magical that is happening during a show then that just makes it more special but if that stuff doesn't happen I will have still had an amazing time with really great people who I am grateful to have spent a day with.

and if you think posting something like this and NOT EVERYONE being so thrilled about it is "bringing you down"...then that's your problem. We can say what we want about whatever you post, that's the risk you take when you post something that not everyone agrees with. Glad you got your moment, now move on. I have a feeling that if you are up front with a sign again you won't get the attention you are seeking again.

Yeah you guys are so right I just want the show to be about me not the band what band? Who cares about the songs and the band ? Give me a break. Like its the first sign ever at a show. You pissed at the guy who got thumbing my way tagged on black or dimi for ghost? They were glad they got what they wanted too. If it's my excitement that bothers you I can't help that and if you want to confront me about it find me at the next 4 shows. We can hug it out and laugh about how ridiculous this thing has become in the first place. You have a right to your opinions as do and if we don't see eye to eye I can live with it but if it hurts you so much come talk to me, I'll buy you a drink and make you a sign too

I think this is getting a little too serious. It's a concert, I had a sign, had fun, no one was harmed in he process. It's like we are having a semi-deep philosophical debate/argument about something pretty inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Anyways I sincerely apologize to anyone who believes I somehow wanted a show to be about me or was acting selfish and or felt I had a sense of entitlement because that was all the farthest thing from my intention. I made a sign because I had seen other people do it in the past and I had never done it and wanted to see if anything might come of it, if so cool, if not no biggie. im going to focus on the next shows now and leave JAX and the sing I the past with a lot of great memories.

I was about two rows behind you in the pit, and not being an ass kisser to a stranger, but I will say you were by far the least douchey of the sign holders. There was another guy who held his up the bulk of the show, don't sweat it.

I didn't mean to imply you were douchey! I had a guy right in front of me, about 6 feet tall, to my 5"6' holding a sign almost all night, that was douchey. Apologies for not phrasing that right!

Thank you! I had been hoping for Future Days in Jax, that's what I'll be walking down the aisle to, it would have been cool if they did and I could have used it. Oh well, still an awesome show!
