I really need to dive back into their stuff. I used to listen to them religiously and have seen them live 4-5 times and they kicked ass. Not sure why I stopped

On a side note, did you all see this???

Yip! I was there all three nights too. Just like PJ Boston 2003 =) Absolutely awesome. Loved hearing Promising, Country Disappeared, True Love Will Find You in the End, and so many other rare tracks.

I took some photos from the press pit too, here is one of them:

love Wilco's new album and getting psyched to see these guys play in Portland, ME in January (1st time seeing them live). For any curious Wilco fans, you can check out how their new album sounds live here- http://wilco.kungfustore.com/roadcase.html. They have a few shows where they played the entire album, in order of the songs. It's a short album, but has some great jams and sounds awesome live.

No 2016 Chicago dates... yet. I missed them at Pitchfork. I've missed like the last 4 Jeff solo shows due to other commitments. Jonesin' for some live Wilco.

Jeff is coming back in May. Calendar looks clear at this point. Did see Tweedy (the band) at the Vic last year, so there is that. Still, not the same as a Wilco show.
  • Saw them last night in Burlington, VT. Great performance. Crowd was absolutely terrible. Got to the theatre and found out I had front row seats. Me and another fellow were the only ones in front to stand up! I was asked to sit down twice! What's up Burlington!?

I read on the Wilco board that there was an announcement after the opener that there was to be no standing, no dancing, and no blocking of the aisles. Seems crazy to me. Dancing was only permitted in the far back. Luckily tonight is GA so there will be no stopping us from standing up.

If you remember, what time did they start/end? Thanks!

^^ That sounds fucked up. What is the reasoning behind that?? Why wouldn't Wilco want the crowd to be demonstrative?

No idea, and yeah, it's fucked up. It's not like this is a solo/acoustic show. One guy said he stood as long as he could but was continuously asked to sit. Said it felt like a recital more than a rock show.

And setlist FM has them only at 23 songs. That could certainly be incomplete, but they did 31 the night before. Weird.
  • They started at 9 on the dot. Jeff made numerous comments about the lame crowd. I remember the announcement and just thinking " that can't be serious". What a joke.

Looks like they updated the setlist to a full set of 32 songs. That is so odd i've been to about 10 wilco shows before and i've never heard of that before

The no standing/dancing thing was at the band's request or was it the venue/security telling you this?
  • It had to be a venue thing. The band seemed to be perplexed by it right of the bat. I mean, I'm telling you the lights went down and they hit the stage and you had a huge chunk who didn't even get up for that. How do you sit down for Impossible Germany, I'm the Man Who Loves You, Handshake Drugs,The Late Greats, Kamera (which is absolutely sick now). I could go on. It was a sad sight.

When I seen them in 2011 the audience stayed seated til the closing song. It was an old opera house, but it still surprised me.

Great show last night in Portland. Played for almost 2 & 1/2 hours! Also really enjoyed the quick acoustic performance/meet and greet at Bull Moose earlier in the day.
