Seven Caged Tigers, off of Tiny Music

always have loved this song. Tiny Music is underrated.

    definitly something off of Purple

I'll say Silvergun Superman or Lounge Fly. both are epic
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”

This thread inspired me to go back and listen to Tiny Music. I guess when it came out I was disappointed in the way they changed their sound. They really did. From the instrumentation to the way Weiland sang. But I realize now it was actually a great album. It wasn't a bad change like Jefferson Airplane to Starship, it was a good change like Vitalogy to No Code. In that era it was easy to overlook good albums because there were always others coming out that were great on first listen.

That's a really valid point, there were loads of records that I didn't give a proper chance because there was so much decent music around at that time.

My favourite is probably either Interstate Love Song or Sour Girl, just something very classic sounding about both of them.

It's hard enough to pick a favorite album from STP. I guess my favorite song would be "Vasoline".

    A couple of my faves:
    Kitchenware and candy bars
    Pretty penny

Aside from the radio hits. I also liked the Led Zeppelin cover of Dancing days they did for the Econium album which was a Zeppelin tribute album.

I started playing the STP albums in order this morning as a little tribute to Scott.

I really couldn't choose any one song as my favorite. Too much killer music on those albums. All of them.

For sure. "Wonderful" was especially moving. I feel for his family.

He wrote some pretty personal lyrics on that album and the music is great, too.

Atlanta (from "No. 4"). That's Scott's shining moment...the vocals are hauntingly beautiful.

Also up for consideration by me:
Big Empty, Silvergun Superman, Plush, Big Bang Baby, Lady Picture Show.

Seven Caged Tigers is such a beautiful vocal, everything about it is great actually, fantastic solo from Dean too. Definitely my favourite song of theirs, from one of the best rock albums of the last 20 years.

Working my way through the live shows/bootlegs I've collected over the years.

PJ, STP, Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead are the only ones I tried to get boots from.

Somehow Scott's passing feels worse today.
