KOL is playing with Young the Giant, who I really like, and Kongos, who I only have heard one song from. I just bought pavilion seats from Groupon for $20 each to the show at DTE next Friday. Anyone else going?

Trust me, Kongos are a good band with more songs then come with me now. Check out I'm
Only joking, hey I don't know, I wanna know.
I saw them in a small club a week ago so that may have made it better, but they were real good

KOL put on one of the best shows I've seen last night. Much better than when I saw them 4 years ago. They mixed in a lot of great old songs; did not just play the hits. The stage and lights were cool to. Anyone doubting seeing them should really do yourself a favor. They are a good band.

Young the giant was awesome, I will see them anytime they are around. They only played for 45 minutes, but every some sounded great.

We walked in to hear Kongos playing Come With Me Now, and it was their last song. So I've still only heard 1 song from them.

saw them yesterday in Toronto. I was very impressed with them all. they played a mix of old and new songs. Kongo was very good. I don't really like the Come with me now song but it sounded great live.

11pm curfew here too. I was impressed that they played a 24 song, 2 hour set. High energy the whole time, very tight sound

  • I'm still on the fence about seeing them. I saw them once and it was at a small venue. They are now playing an amphitheater and I'm leery . Plus, the show is mid week and tix are almost $100

The mansfield show was mind blowing !
And I can compare it to the last time they were there in 2009!

Caleb is STILL one of the most amazing baratone vocalists , the rest of the band cranks ! "Black thumbnail" is a barn burner and the new special effects on the screens really add a trippy experience without overshadowing the music!
    Big thumbs up !
Seems the drummer broke his ribs in a bus accident right after my show!

Anyone been to one of the shows yet this tour?  Going next week and looking forward to it.  Not seen them since 2002.

Anyone done the VIP? Was it worth it?

Do do they have posters for sale for non VIP or is this just VIP?

Thanks - really looking forward to it - in 2002 they were an amazing opener.  Trani was a standout then.

Went to the Austin show a few months back.  It was my first time seeing them and I thought it was a great show.

Saw them in Mansfield at the end of July.  Thought the show was great.  Played about 2 hours with a mix of old and new stuff.  I used to see them a lot back in the day, but took a break after they blew up.  They really are a great live band.  Have fun

I'm enjoying all the love for KoL on their current tour. I normally see PJ fans complaining about how boring and predictable they've become. They are playing a Wednesday night in Jacksonville in a couple of months. Still thinking about picking up some tickets.

They are still playing the same sets every night, which is not all that uncommon I suppose. But a very respectable 25 songs with a good mix. Nothing really to complain about.  Is Caleb interacting with the audience at all?  Last few shows I went to (granted, back in 2010), he wasn't saying anything and they barely were squeezing out 20 songs.  Glad to see they are picking things up a bit

Went to the show last night in Toronto.  The band seemed liked they were enjoying themselves and more into it.  It was the most ive seen Caleb talk to the crowd.  Maybe the extra few days off they had helped.  I saw them back in January in Toronto and it was total opposite, they seemed tired and just there.  Last night was enjoyable and they sounded great.  They also changed up quite a few songs from the January show.

  • I have an extra ticket for tonight's show in Chicago. GA/Pit, hoping a local fan sees this.
  • Show in Chicago was fun. Sound was ok, but the venue is shitty in lots of places.  Same exact set as the other shows this tour.  Good times.
