Another GEM from the European tour. Congrats to all who attended.
There's no need to say goodbye
  • Really good show last night, great to be there. Felt a bit sorry for the band that there were so many empty seats and the crowd was obviously thousands below capacity. However, it didn't seem to bother the band or fans who were there as they were on top form.

Not the best venue. Even though we were in the seating section supposedly nearest to the stage, it felt miles away. Not a patch on somewhere like the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam or the O2 in London. They ran out of beer in our section, which is never good (although, in Oslo, it saves you a small fortune!).

I like when PJ play Oslo because it obviously allows them to experiment because of the rather subdued crowd or if the venue hasn't sold out (which clearly was the case last night). It's the best of the 4 shows I've seen so far this year (Amsterdam 2 and Stockholm close though) and we had a really great night at the rail. Strangest Tribe was a jaw-dropping moment, I was just sorry my friend was not attending since that song is his holy grail. This might be one of those boots which doesn't tell the whole truth (a couple of band mistakes here and there, Ed ws a bit hoarse from Stockholm, etc). But it was one heck of a show! My 20'th and I was constantly surprised by the setlist flow

It is going to be tough to think of many shows I enjoyed more than this one. Very lucky to have attended this one.

May have been some mistakes, but at least Ed remembered how Porch starts off this time. :)

Can't believe they played RVM, Sad AND Last Kiss - and thats just three of many in a setlist that was extremely unpredictable :-) By the way - does anyone have an audio recordings of Ed talking after Corduroy that can be traded according to Foum Posting Guidelines? I know Ill have it in the bootleg but its a long wait ;-)

    Amazing night!!

And greetings to everyone on Mike's side - we had a good thing going there with only a few black sheep trying to weasle in and ruin the mood. I brought my dad (60) to the shows in Stockholm and Oslo. He has not stopped talking about the shows and is ecstatic! There were italians, swedes, americans, etc. in our section and everyone was so cool. Except for a few of my fellow norwegians who were a bit of a problem for a while, but we got rid of them together. :)

My second show of the tour, 20+ overall and I REALLY enjoyed that, really enjoyed that.

Some people don't understand how I can go and see the same band multiple times in a short period but that set is just just another example of why I can and will. Such enthusiasm from the band, such variety in the set and still playing songs live for the first time. Hearing the opening of Strangest Tribe gave me goosebumps. Most bands couldn't play that number of songs or for that period of time, just amazing.

I'd also like to thank the guy (in the Man Utd polo) who moved to give my (small) girlfriend his place by the crush barrier halfway down so she could see the stage ok. Nice gesture, she had a ball.

Got to top off our 4th and last show of the trip by seeing the whole band coming out of their hotel the next morning and Ed said, "thank you" to me after I thanked for a bunch of great shows. My wife thought I was going to cry. ;)

Any reports from the GA line post 10c's email yesterday?

GA Line was very chill, everyone good to each other, be it getting out to pee, hit the merch stand (great fuckin' poster!), go across the street to get food and coffee, whatever. Security also was great throughout.
Mind-blowing night, couldn't have asked for more, from new friends in the pit, FIVE new songs at my 22nd show, and multiple rare, personal favorites (LBC!). Words can't do it justice.

For me, the highlights of this fantastic show were in the encores. Satan's Bed, Lukin, RVM, Comatose... Just: WOW!

  • 2 amazing nights in Stockholm and Oslo. Both set list complimented each other perfectly. The stockholm set list made Oslo better and Vice versa if you get what I mean? You go out after 2 shows and 6 hours and all you want is more.

Highlights for me were too many to mention, but Indifference in Stockholm, In Hiding, Hard to Imagine and obviously Strangest Tribe in Oslo needs a mentioning.

Was one week away from having the chance to catch them live at Sentrum Scene ( a legendary concert ) in 1993, but my 5 shows since then has more than made up for it. They just keep on getting better!

Amazing setlist, certainly got your money's worth with the amount of time they stayed on the stage, support act not needed! Dunno if they do it at every show but very nice that they had Matt's son on for RITFW.
