Easily the most anticipated season in Nets' history, trumping the 2002-03 season after their first trip to the finals.

So who do we like to win the whole thing?

Mate I'm freaking excited about this season. Anyone but the heat, that's who I want to win. Leflop james is the arrogant and disrespectful person on this planet, I can't stand him.

I trhink there are a few teams that can win it. Heat will obviously be near the top and as for the rest of the East, I think my Bulls will have the best record. Pacers and potentially the Nets will both be very good as well.
The West will have a real battle I think. OKC and Spurs will be there and Rockets should be as well. My tip is GSW to be the real bolter if Curry/Bogut can play 65-70 games each. Doc should improve LAC as well, but not sold on frontling on Griffen and D. Jordan come finals time.

I'm really looking forward to the emergence of a few teams -

Pelicans look very exciting this year - A.Davis should have a great 2nd year and the additons of Holiday and Evans add quality
Cavs - If Kyrie and Dion can stay healthy and Bynum can get on the court, they should develop nicely this year
Wiz - Adding Gortat adds to their playoff push, but keys are Wall and Beal and hopefully Porter can be solid at the 3

I think the Pistons will make a trade out of their forward line - Josh Smith takes too many outside shots playing at the 3 and needs to be at PF. If they can trade Monroe (who is quality) for a good small forward, they will be even better
I'll ride the wave where it takes me

i pretty much agree with everything you just said.

there's talk of the pistons trading Brandon Jennings during the season though, so that should be interesting.

and never count out the spurs.

    Bulls.

Derick rose is also going to sit out this season because he's only at 100% and isn't mentally ready. :D

I'm really trying to forget all that bullshit from last year. It is pretty crazy that it has been 18 months since Rose last played in a real game.

it's gonna be a dog show of a season ... so many teams are tanking it's absurd ... i'd say there are like 5 teams that could win it ...

    heat
    spurs
    thunder
    clips
    bulls

    outside chance for
    rockets
    pacers

i was hoping the raptors would tank for a chance at wiggins but too many teams are doing this ... :fp:

Bobcats are also contenders I reckon.

Seriously though, it's gonna be awesome watching the warriors play.

I'll be rooting hard against it, but I really don't see anybody beating the Heat.

Bulls and Pacers are the biggest threats, IMO.

Be interested in seeing how Doc improves the Clips.

Have the Thunder done anything to add to their team? Ibaka needs to be the best big man for them to have a chance IMO.

Astounding showing by the Lakers tonight. In Sports Illustrated despite the fact they were picked sixth in the West, the opposing scout skewered their roster, yet the likes of Jordan Hill, Xavier Henry (who I didn't know was on the Lakers), Jordan Farmar totally dominated the Clippers in the fourth.

The clippers totally under estimated the lakers team. It just looked liked the lakers had more heart and did the little things right.

Blake Griffin is an athlete and a good PF but nothing more. He should have developed further than he has by now and if he couldn't dunk he would be compared to Paul Millsap and Boozer, who are also Good PF's but nothing more.

I don't think the Clips can win with their forward line - Can see them trading someone before the deadline

Yeah I agree with ya. I just can't go past the Brooklyn nets, what a team. Once they get used to playing together they're gonna be unbeatable. Lopez, Garnett, pierce, Johnson and Williams as their starting lineup, that's nuts.

What were the 76ers doing tonight - AI must have put something in their water.

Turner and Carter-Williams were great - Hell, Rookie nearly got a triple double - 22pts, 12 Ass and 9 steals, plus 7 boards

GM will be pissed, they are supposed to be tanking

Was a great effort- I feel for Turner, I think he can be a very good player for a long time. Just don't think he is the face of a franchise type player, needs to be a 2nd or 3rd option on a team. Would take him over Rudy Gay any day.

They did well again to beat Wiz in Washington.

Hoping DRose works the rust out soon and my Bulls hit their stride

GSW look like a fun team again to watch all year- really think they will threaten in the West

It's not a lock that they play in the conference finals either, especially with how Brooklyn and Chicago have been playing most of 2014.
