Thanks Kat. There was another thread on it last night:

Seeing this is so sad and only reinforces how grateful I am that this band and the 10c save reserved seats for us fans. We are most fortunate not having to deal with the public market and the 2ndary market for the majority of the time

    Damn!!!

This wouldn't happen if PJ offered fan club only shows.

There must be hockey arenas out there in the USA / CDN that are not run by Ticketmaster / Live Nation where the 10club could book the whole place for themselves.

Been blessed more than you can imagine. Took my son one time and now he thinks every rock concert means you sit up front LOL...boy was he in for a shock last year at the Iron Maiden concert. Yes, no matter all the issues with tickets, we are most blessed. What other band does a Letterman Live webcast and reserve the entire bottom section for their fan club? That's just an example of how good we have it no matter the frustrations that may come with supply vs demand.

I wonder what happened with the death threat issue.

I would personally never ever buy tix off craiglist unless the seller walked into the venue with me or accompanied me to will call where I could verify the tix.

Nice job on this, to bad there wasn't a way to help on those in Chicago out. Wrigley had so many fakes going around and so many good fans got hurt.

Weird he ran the same add and agreed to meet at the same corner. Isn't he worried someone would show up and kick his ass?

I thought the same thing. Guess they figured nobody would think to check and see if they were fake or not before the show. Probably picks a different corner and places a new ad for the next show he is ripping people on.

His cell # would be the same but what do you do if you text 'Hey you sold me fake tickets, you ruined my night. I want my money back....' and he texts back 'Imma gonna shoot u' or something like that.

I think anyone that does this is crazy but I feel badly for them.

:) I was kind of being sarcastic. I've just been shutout on London, Wrigley, Pittsburgh, and Buffalo.

    This.

A buddy of mine bought a ticket for the Wrigley show outside of the venue. I had tickets but not an extra for him. I told him to get it verified before forking over the $300+. He didn't. Got a ticket printout from Ticketmaster. The ticket was legit but he could have gotten seriously burned because he never verified it beforehand. :fp:
  • Thanks Kat! It's scary how realistic these look. I got scammed from StubHub on Soundgarden tickets to the Orpheum show in Boston (at least they refunded my money). It's getting to the point where you cringe when your ticket is being scanned at a show cause you never know what you are going to get from the secondary market.

Take it to the venue and scan it.

You do if you go through a real "reputable" ticket broker who posts all of their own sales, as opposed to stubhub, where others post the sales. Ones like All-Star Tickets, etc. Those types of companies do not post fake tix. (that said, I'm not promoting such companies... especially since I just saw a pair of Vancouver GA tix on AllStar Tickets, available the day of the show, for nearly $1200. :x Who's the jerk who should have his 10C membership revoked?

I assume he must be using a prepaid cell phone or the cops could ID him from his phone number.
Lots of scumbags in this world.
