Wouldn't it be interesting if Ted Club did an audit every 5 years and reassigned numbers based on your TRUE standing? I have been a member for years, and I sometimes wonder how many people ahead of me have lapsed.
Why would it matter? If people in front of you have lapsed they're not using their membership for anything anyway... and therefore not impacting your seniority.
Plus then I'd have to memorize a new number and after 17+ years with the same one I ain't tryin' to do that.
And they specifically don't want anyone outside of the organization to know (as per Tim Bierman on the AET). While it would be nice, they have good reasons for keeping it the way it is.
I believe a lot of older users/#'s are still in the fold. After checking my PJ20 Night 1 (10C) tickets vs. the "Ice Bowl" (10C) tickets in 2000, I sat ONE row closer at PJ20 after 11 years in the 10C.
So with the newer rows 1, 2, 9 & 10 lottery, I believe I should have been 5 rows closer. I was 47th row and I'm 192xxx.
Just my 2 cents and I could be looking at this without taking other variables into consideration, but I was surprised I was not MUCH closer at PJ20.

I tend to agree. Once seniority came into play I think people with mediocre to excellent fan club numbers sat on them. Which means there wasn't a lot of attrition amongst the people who had gotten memberships before binaural.
One the flip side for people with memberships after Binaural. Seats were probably kind of meh, to kind of crap If the fan club is up to # 500000 now, and it was around 200000 when the Binaural tour was going on, I'm going to guess there was a lot of turnover from people who were only in the club back then. Tickets would of been meh, you weren't gaining seniority, so why renew every year
