I live in Pittsburgh. I am beyond excited about them choosing the burgh to start the tour but I am also kinda nervous about a short show. Anyone thoughts?
I think we're in for an awesome show, regardless of length (though I don't think it will be short). It's been seven years since their last show in the 'burgh, and that show was intense. I think the guys were real appreciative of the crowd and thought it'd be a good place to get the new tour off to a good start.
When I saw your post, I thought it was going to be "which song will be the opener in PGH." I'll go ahead and answer my own question: LONG ROAD!
Virginia Beach 2000; Pittsburgh 2000; Columbus 2003; D.C. 2003; Pittsburgh 2006; Virginia Beach 2008; Cleveland 2010; PJ20 2011; Pittsburgh 2013; Baltimore 2013; Charlottesville 2013; Charlotte 2013; Lincoln 2014; Moline 2014; St. Paul 2014; Greenville 2016; Hampton 2016; Lexington 2016; Wrigley 2016; Prague 2018; Krakow 2018; Berlin 2018; Fenway 2018; Camden 2022; St. Paul 2023
A short (er than usual) show may be possible, but look at 2006. First show of the second leg and it ended up being a great show.
"Long Road" was going to be my guess, and they opened with "Release" the last time around, so I'll "Hard to Imagine."

Only show I went for and went for reserved. I am dancing already at the thought of having a reason to go to Pittsburgh for the first time. I figure if I get this I will be happy and no need to drive myself mad with strategizing for other shows, I'll leave that to others.
Can't wait and dearly I hope I win the lottery for this show.

Ridiculous question...but it will be a group of THREE of us catching the Lions play at Cleveland Oct 13th, I somehow magically convinced these two non Pearl Jam football fanatics to stop in Pitt first for the show.
If there are three of us, I HAVE TO go through ticketmaster, right? No other options?
Any idea how pricing differs from ten club to TM?! Should I be worried they will sell out? I went to the Q in Cleveland in 2009 and it did not appear sold out and the Cosol energy Center is at least the same size.
The Consol Energy Center is one of the bigger up and coming venues out there for high profile bands to play. We just saw Bruno Mars there last week - sold out. Also, in 2011 the Foo Fighters sold the place out as well.
I am not sure if PJ will sell out the venue, but they will be able to fill it up pretty good - at least 85 to 90 percent capacity.
