Love listening to this show but I'm thinking the Wrigley show is going to be like the complete opposite. Lots of radio hits and few rarities. I won't mind either way.

Great avatar...how did you get that shot?
I can't help but be a little envious of "an evening with PJ".
I wish I could afford to go and I'm hoping for an awesome boot from this show.
Hanging all day in a Chicago baseball field in July doesn't sound too fun but I'd be will to do it. :?
Cheers to the luck ones.... :)

Eddie used to play in Mesa with the Cubbies, until last year when he messed up his arm causing the tour cancelation. Chris Chelios was there as well and really messed up his knee, I wonder if that was why he was included in the Eddie Vedder stage-bill as retiring during the solo tour. Anyway he was behind the fence after the game, my wife asked if she could take a photo with him in the background, he said no and sent his bodyguard to escort us on the field and take photos. Chatted with him for about 3 minutes about the upcoming solo tour, it was all surreal. P.S. my son's wearing a PJ Stickman onesie.

Pretty sure hard to imagine was on the santa barbara set list and not played too. At the time it hadn't been played for years (98 off the top of my head).

Fun Facts about the Santa Barbara Show.

    1. I was there.
    2. There weren't that many Ten Club fans in attendance.
    3. There were extra tickets all over the place.
    4. People were just dropping their extras at the entrance and the ground was covered with them.
    5. The crowd was so-so, as they always are at the Santa Barbara bowl. Half to three quarters of the crowd is from Santa Barbara and just show up to get smashed. They don't care much about the band that is playing, and probably rolled their eyes when Nothing as it Seems was played.
    6. That evening with Pearl Jam had Jack Irons on drums for a couple of the Yield favorites.
    7. Jack Johnson came out as did John Fruciante.
    8. It was fucking awesome.

I'm pretty sure the fans will be a lot better at Wrigley.

    9. I really hope they play a similar type of set in Chicago as they did at Santa Barbara.
    10. 25 minutes to go was great.

I am hoping they return to Santa Barbara at some point, since I now live here!
Would love to see them at the SB Bowl, although I suspect the audience would not be too great.

Fingers crossed we get something special at Wrigley!! (and London)

I will be attending the Chicago show, and hope to get an acoustic pre set.

I don't want to rain on the parade, but weren't there a few "an evening with Pearl Jam" shows that didn't have an acoustic opening set.

Gorge 2006, I'm pretty sure were also labeled this way.

Someone else posted recently about an overseas show being labeled that as well and it was a normal show.

Fingers crossed about a wrigley preset... That was the best part of the Missoula show, the acoustic encore.

It was an amazing show that I count myself lucky to have attended.

It was probably the last time I will ever have to stand in line for tickets since they stopped online sales due to the Beny show selling out to scalpers. I think it's the last time I ever went to a mall also since that is where the ticketmaster outlet was.

I never thought I would see a TOTD reunion. I remember Ed and Chris going to the side stage to smoke a joint while Mike went off on Reach Down. 8-)

I never, ever thought I would ever see three TOTD reunions. :D

I really wish they would release a bootleg of this show. The crowd bootleg I have has an annoying drunk girl jabbering away in the background.

If I was a Deity, I would travel back in time and smote her.

People are no longer blown away by the TOTD reunion aspect of this show because it's now happened multiple times over the past few years.

But as rumors started circulating that Cornell was there, people starting shatting themselves. This was a HUGE deal at the time and everyone was pretty floored when it actually happened. Wilds and I were essentially in the back row of the stadium, but it didn't matter one bit and will always be my favorite show. Massively underrated.

Seeing Jack Irons on the drum kit for In My Tree is a PJ highlight for me, even if it was the alternate version.

It was sad and funny to see all the girls around me go nuts only when Last Kiss was played.

I just recalled being worried I wouldn't make it to the show because both San Diego and Orange counties were engulfed in flames.

I think it was the 2006 show, or perhaps another show up there, where the hills along the 101 were on fire.

    Made for a strange trip.
