period. no bullshit. records are meant to be played, not stored. that's my take. and if i ever own a BH vinyl, i will take a video of me spinning it.
    :clap::clap:
I completely agree Matt. I just got the ITW reissue the other day, spun it yesterday, loved it so much. It sounds great on vinyl.

    +1
Totally agree!!!! I always get my vinyl with every intention on LISTENING to it! I love viyl for what it was meant to be!

...And I really want to score and listen to a copy of ITW vinyl myself... ;)
Do you live in the US or in Europe? In the US, you can get it from Soundstage Direct and the UK you can get it from What Records.

As a format the vinyl always have a warmer, more human sound and remember that what you hear with your ears is an analog sound wave, so when the music is turned into digital 1:s & 0:s the analog sound wave that you hear is altered on it's way to your ears. And the dynamics of music on vinyl is something the cd can only dream of...

    I'd buy it.

And I wouldn't feel bad about all those previous Bennys losing their value because if someone has not opened it by now then they are just trying to make a profit off it anyway. Let the true fans take a listen.

    I support this idea

Don't know why - but I never saw this thread on it's first and second times around.

I enjoyed reading the 'break the seal and spin' comments too. Wouldn't it be great if we formed a 'Vinyl Mafia', and snuck into collectors' houses late at night - rooted out their sealed vinyl, unsealed it, took it down to their fancy turntable - started the sucker spinning at maximum volume, and then exited, pronto. That would be cool. And if they didn't own a turntable their goods would simply be confiscated 8-)

Indeed - I have an alternative vinyl friendly line, but it might get me in trouble with the mods - it uses the word 'inches' ;)

  • I am for this....sort of. My wife paid 500 bucks for mine as a valentines day present a few years back. The first thing I did was crack it open and play it non stop for a few days. I still spin it from time to time. I don't want a re issue to "cheapen" the original thrills people have with the first pressing.

If they repress it, I think it should completely different from the original. No wine colored vinyl!

    I know, Im selfish.

I know what you mean and I'm totally with you. Black vinyl is fine with me ... as long as the sound quality is as gorgeous as in the original :D8-) RE-ISSUE it already! Please, with a thousand of cherries on top :shifty: :D

I just discovered the Benny Hall #s thread today, cause someone bumped it up and it was interesting, but sad at the same time to see the development of the price from 2005 to now :?

So I bump this thread again :D Please PJ, do consider a re-issue for all the vinyl lovers who cannot afford to sell body parts to own this lovely record ... A regular black edition would be fine!

 And for those of us who were unaware of who PJ was when this was released (that would be me).
