I loved this show! Great setlist at a great-sounding venue. I love the fact that we PJ fans are so spoiled (in a good way!) by the band's awesomeness that we sit down during the first encore break, expecting not only a two-song encore, but (at least) two full encore sets.

"Alright? Well, thank you very much. You were a bit quiet. It's almost like you knew we were coming back out," said Ed.

Of course, I had to sit down during the break because the main set kicked my ass, and I need to get some rest for the rest of the show!

Anyhow, listening to the official boot, I feel that there's something different about "The Fixer" compared to what I remember from the show. This could just be my brain tricking me with a false memory, but during the intro, I recall that Mike (perhaps) was (mistakenly) playing in a different key at the same time as Stone, but he gets in tune when the rhythm section comes in. On the bootleg recording, Stone (or the right speaker guitarist, who I assume is Stone) plays the intro alone. Did the mixer delete the off-key intro in "The Fixer"? I just need to ask everyone who was there about this, if only to confirm that yes, I am going crazy, recalling all kinds of modified memories. I thought it was a cool little quirk, if it happened.

For the longest time, oh, since perhaps 1996 or even 1994, "Jeremy" became my least favorite, non-filler PJ track. When they played it that night, I reconnected with that song. Thanks, Pearl Jam!

    Cheers,
    Ryan

Huh, on The Fixer -- can you hear Ed say off mic really fast, "we're ready, we're ready, we're ready, we're right!" as the song begins and then adds on mic "Here we go!"
    [sic] happens

  • Of the four LA shows, this show had the best crowd. The band was on fire and the crowd was on fire. LA 4 was my favorite setlist but LA 2 was the most fun.
LA 3 was actually my least favorite of the four shows excluding the incredible ending, of course.
