Ultimately though, you have to make the decision as it is your thread and you took that responsibility whether intended or not when you started it. You started it as a great idea, but there is a bunch of gray out there... That puts the onus on you and forces you to defend whichever choice you make.
I don't think the asterik would work because it would be better to not have your name listed at all.
Maybe Starmap should make his own thread and have people who are happy with his transactions post there...

I disagree. People on this board sometimes make deals and then break them because they get a better offer or realize they can get more money. This is a bad practice. Come on man we have threads where people give stuff away. This is what we should be doing here not trying to one up everyone for $20.
I agree returning the money is not the point at all. It is the point that they had a deal, and then chose to break it because he possibly got a better offer. Returning the money does not make the situation right.

I do not think dwhite or the Hoff are asking people to change their mind or minds about people. People should trade with whoever they feel comfortable trading with. I personally would not choose to trade with a person who uses this tactic, as it has the propensity to lead to other shady tactics, not saying it does or would, but I would hate to think I have soething coming my way and then blammo get a "Sorry Dude" response! I am sure people around here will surely be fired up if this did or has happened to them.

Also - I would not have known of this incident if Starmap hadn't gone to these measures.. so I agree you kind of did that to yourself. Be prepared for rational and well-put together posts from the Hoff because he is right, the evidence speaks for itself. If I were him, I'd want to put it all out there at this point too.
No need for this to be an all-out war. Just be honest with people and try to do the right thing, especially in what is supposed to be a "community" such as this. Having your name on or off "the list" isn't really going to make a difference. I've done business with people on here, and my name as well as many of theirs are not on this list, and it will still never change how successful our transactions were.
there were extenuating circumstances, i refunded his cash immediately, apologized, and have given and contributed as much as i can here to make up for it. with that being said, the original reason for this post was because i was on this "list" and then taken off. that's really all. sure it's just a list but you can be proud to be part of such lists because it's a positive thing... being trusted with shipping and trading, etc (which i 100% can be). i mean there are certain people like the person i mentioned in a post above who have "wronged" me (in my opinion) but i didn't go on here and make threads about the incident, i just decided not to deal with the person from PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. Not because somebody told me the person's word wasn't good or whatever.

Yes the money was refunded, but for those into posters thats not necessarily the point. It does seem odd that Starmap said he didnt like the poster and was very emphatic about it, then changed his mind after the show. But hey, sometimes people change their minds.
The list is just a list. Some will look at it, others wont. But I cant imagine people stop trading with Starmap so I dont really see this as a problem.

Also - I would not have known of this incident if Starmap hadn't gone to these measures.. so I agree you kind of did that to yourself. Be prepared for rational and well-put together posts from the Hoff because he is right, the evidence speaks for itself. If I were him, I'd want to put it all out there at this point too.
No need for this to be an all-out war. Just be honest with people and try to do the right thing, especially in what is supposed to be a "community" such as this. Having your name on or off "the list" isn't really going to make a difference. I've done business with people on here, and my name as well as many of theirs are not on this list, and it will still never change how successful our transactions were.
and, really, truth be told (i think i've stated this but here goes again) i was so fucking wasted at 10/31 i forgot about the poster at first and then (yes) i said fuck it, who cares. well that's what booze does to you among other things which is why i haven't drank since december of that year. anyway.... over a poster. come on. don't forget when people fuck you over, but forgive. would i expect framer to make any deals with me in the future? of course not. i mean in the end... what am i supposed to say or do... and rewinding time and shipping the poster is not an option for you flamers ready to pounce.... apologize? did it. try to make up for it in other ways to clear my name? did it and do it. refund his money? did it. feel like a douchebag because of not shipping the poster? did it. so... since we have a grudge bearer that will never let it go, just remember. this is a community, as previously stated by many, and we're both a part of it and we'll both continue to give and take from it like all of you do. people makes mistakes in life and i made one (and in the grand scheme of things it's pretty minor).
so here it is once again and never again.... hoff, i apologize for fucking you over and i'm sure it won't happen again. it's that simple.
