The books behind Yeild

I've heard that "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn and "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov were major influences on the band during the making of Yield.

I was just wondering if there are any other books that may have inspired the music of Yield as well?

    I believe they were inspired by "I before E except after C" by Merriam Webster.

    im pretty sure riot act was inspired by the great novel "How to lose fans and not sell albums"

    by the legendary author....."F.U. Riotact"............

    I think it had something to do with the making of Yield specifically Do the Evolution. I remember reading a Daniel Quinn article where he said something about Yield always being on his work desk and the Pearl Jam evolution tee shirt somewhere in the vecinity as well.

    I'm not sure if there are any other books. But the song "Pilate" is what inspired me to read "The Master and Margarita." In fact, it's sitting right here next to me on the desk. I struggle to read Russian literature, but this was a fairly accessible novel. The translation notes were VERY helpful as my knowledge of early 20th century Russian history is extremely poor.
    I wish a guy like Eddie, would like me.

    It's an amazing book and I recomend this to anyone.

    It's also been said that "The Master and Margarita"
    (Notably the charactor Woland) that inspired Mick Jagger to write: Sympathy for the Devil.
