Glimpse
So I learned some new things
In one of our better talks
God knows how tense I get
My time with you
so unpredictable
Like walking on broken glass
Held my breath as you brought her up
But how surprised was I?
And I was so proud
didn’t let her consume you
like you usually do
And I could see all the love,
and a broken heart
In your eyes as you spoke,
And I could feel the pain, still there
In your words as you choked,
And I could see through your eyes
For once, the way it all went down
Your side of things anyhow….
Bringing peace to a place
That I thought was gone
I remember at 3, how you fought …..
(for us)
Breaking down doors….
Breaking bones….
Raging for your rights, your heart
I knew then, before I could speak
That no one would keep us apart
And I know what you mean
When you say you never
touched her
You said it best yourself,
You’re a trained killer
And we didn’t need a funeral.
And I could see all the love,
and a broken heart
In your eyes as you spoke,
And I could feel the pain, still there

And I could see through your eyes

Everything I couldn't put into words
Everything I couldn't see

And by the 2nd hour I knew
That you were a unique soul
A wise and weathered and insightful one
Incredibly intriguing to say the least!
Captivate me for hours on end
Love getting lost in your views
Can't appropriately express
The gratitude that exists here
The joy of discovering you
A kindred spirit
A like-minded dreamer
A way only you can inspire
Heightens desire
That was dormant in me....
for the very first time I feel
Like I'm alive....
I can finally breathe...
And if this isn't real
Then I don't want to wake.
Just wanted to say...

expands without warning
your absence now painful
to me
I miss your essence,
your aura,
your spirit,
your soul,
you and your consolation
...priceless to me
this, that I used to feel
...if that was real...

minds been wandering
not without notice
these walls that I tend to build
i miss the sound of your voice,
your words,
your presence,
your comfort,
your expressions.....advice
and let's not forget the Music
our love for this we shared
you had a gift to calm me
with ease...throwing a song my way
save me from myself....again
oh how I miss you babe
one word from you
my world was brighter
the way only you could make me feel
inexplicable peace inside...
surene, tranquil, at ease, content, surreal
captivated imagination again?
you're deep in my head or my heart?
been so long, it's all too cloudy
oh here I go again
give me that false hope I crave
so it's torture, what can I say....
I'm masochistic at heart I guess
just make this pain go away
I miss you, so much
that I hurt inside, please
tell me how do I deal?
I despise this feeling
that your fading away
into my exhilerated infatuation
my imagination
it's very active, you know
but it was your spirit that pulled me in
I could feel it the 1st time we spoke
so please, if I ever meant anything to you
you have to let me know
don't let me 'fill in the blanks'
it's usually negative and 'overblown'
I just need that peace....of you
your word,
your presence,
your anything...
I just need you
wanna crawl inside you
curl up within you and drift off to sleep
cuz that's when I'll feel like I'm home.
