    Same here.
I never even noticed a slight Izzy resemblance
One time I was trying to print a picture of me so I could give it to a friend to cheer him up after he was diagnosed with cancer, but the printer jammed, and my friend died.

Ron Wood, yes, he looks like a young Ron Wood. Fortus is a very good guitarist don't you think?

This is not a crap band. They are all very talented. You can say what you want about Axl, but he has a great band. I bet anything this new version of GN'R will be the biggest band in the world when Chinese Democracy comes out. They sold out the Madison Square Garden within 15 minutes back in 2002. 15 minutes! Once people will hear the studio versions of "the blues", "madagascar" or "IRS", they will be blown away.

I think "Chinese Democracy" will embrase the world when it comes out. The record is rumoured to be one of the greatest album ever...the music will speack for itself. Never forget that Axl Rose is a musical genius. yes sometimes he is a douchebag, but musically, he is one of the greatest frontman and songwriter ever.
    The talent never dies.

I like Gn'R and I reckon CD COULD be good, the talent is there in the Band, but I'm just not sure anymore.

But it isn't Guns N Roses.

Its Axel with a new band.

    dude.
we all WANT to believe you.

we are just fed up with axl's bullshit,
and tired of waiting for an album whose name surfaced over ten years ago, but any shred of physical evidence is still yet to arrive.

i hear the braided studio monkey has an entire 25,000 sq. ft. storage facility in the san fernando dessert full of tape and digital caches of "incomplete songs", riffs, licks, snippets, some kiddie porn, and a few copies of tommy lee's own video -- just so he can "get a handle" on the competition ...

we all know axl has a small ding-dang ....
we just want to hear his chinese yin-yang.

    c'mon now, motherfucker.
    release that shit!
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

Yeah, I also want it comes out soon. I mean, have you heard "IRS" or "The Blues"? There is so much potencial man! If the album is as good as those songs, it will sell 20 million copies!

maybe that's why their music was so easy to swallow when i was 12?

    :)

    ouch.
    bad joke.

no very funny joke, it could have been worse if you had brought slash and a buckethead into the equasion of it all though

and pearl jam is nothing but Mother Love Bone with a new singer.

    right?

    it's all perspective.
Pearl Jam is an ok american rock n roll group

My point being Guns N Roses are nothing but a name.

Velvet Revolver are more Guns N Roses.

This is Axl Rose with a new backing band.

Blablabla...nevermind, when Chinese Democracy is out you will all forgive Axl because the music will kick your ass. THE MUSIC only matters.

Anyway, I uploaded "the blues" outro, with a double voice, I think we might see that kind of thing on the "Chinese Democracy" record, that outro will be a classic for me. Axl on vocals (of course) and Fortus on guitar. It sounds HUGE http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=118I52IJPASMF0XZ5QM3P96CX0

For all the bashers...is there something to say? it sounds great.IMAGINE THE STUDIO VERSION.

many many people care. When this record is out, it will be an immense success. The buzz around this album is already legendary.
Anyway, please try to avoid the debate "this is gn'r" or "this is not gn"r", this is NOT the subject of this topic. Speak about Richard Fortus.
    Thank you.

    SHUT UP!!!

THIS IS NOT GNF'R...How's that? MAYBE IT IS GNF'R...Hmmmm...let's debate it.
He is alive but feels absolutely nothing.

Richard Fortus is WAY better than Buckethead. Buckethead is a clown, a stupid shredder who plays without heart and soul. It's just guitar masturbation. Hoppefully, he is gone, he was ridiculous on stage and had zero charisma and zero stage presence.

    Fortus blows Buckethead away.

    And you blow Fortus...

Fortus sucks...for christ sake...he was the fucking guitarist for N'Sync and Britney Spears...PLEASE!

God, I've been reading this thread since the beginning but contained myself to post, because when I get started on G'n'R it's hard to stop... but man just reading this made me laugh, and had to say something... man, if this is true, great, Axl, great Guns 'n' Posers, you just hired the right musician for your music, the guitar player for Nsync and Britney, well, that goes with Axl's style... sooooo funny!!

Who would of thought you would be hearing a RESONATOR
on a BRITNEY SPEARS or N'SYNC record?

Well guitarist Richard Fortus has made it happen.

Richard rose to notoriety as a member of the re-formed Psychedelic Furs, which carried on from his involvement in the excellent LOVE SPIT LOVE (The Smiths cover that is used for the TV theme of 'Charmed' being their most mainstream, although certainly not their most substantial accolade!!).

Richards partnership with Richard Butler of LSL and the FURS continues as does his involvement on a number of mainstream pop artists recordings such as BRITNEY SPEARS and N'SYNC.

    OUCH!

Did I forget to mention Enrique Iglasias?? (Sp?)

Look, I am a huge GNR fan. Great music in the past...how this guy (hello) who started this thread is boasting that they will and "are" the best band to hit earth and how they will blow the world's mind when they release their (alleged) album in works for the last umpteenth years is a ridiculous statement.

Look Slash was a part of the original GNR he has been a member of multiplatinum ROCK bands. This guy is running around playing guitar for teenie boppers, playing soundtracks for video games...it's a joke. Wonder if he sings jingles for commercials...

Get off your stoop dude (hello.) Nobody wants to hear your preaching. Richard Fortus is a dime a dozen...nothing more than a fill in for C+/B- bands. The only thing he has in common with Slash and/or Izzy is that he looks like Izzy. That's it. I do have to give Fortus credit...Britney and N' Sync both went platinum...bet those "Platinum Celebration Parties" were a hoot...

Beat it punk! GNR will never be what they were, Fortus is NOT Slash OR Izzy and Velvet Revolver would beat the pants off the new GNR any day, Fat Axl or not!!!

i dont understand ANY slash-bashing. i just dont.

Slash epitomises THE ROCKER. he is not just a guitarist, its that whole persona, much like cobain was not just a vocalist, he was something bigger. (except cobain had to die to create that persona, slash just HAS IT!)

now even if slash is not the best technical guitarist, i think he has more soul than any guitarist ive ever seen.

as for this fortus guy, i think the previous posts have said it best. He played for britney spears and video games; dont even think of hailing him.
