    Not really that close and there is nothing to do up there either. But lots of hotels just off I-90.

    Sorry, Im from London,UK. I was looking for something relatively close, thats affordable as I will be doing a few nights there most likely.

    I gambled on the 2.5 star hotel in Downtown Albany for $82/night on Hotwire.com in hopes that I'd get the Holiday Inn Express, but instead wound up in the Clarion Hotel 3 miles away.... :P

    I had been considering the Red Carpet Inn at 500 Northern Blvd (about $55/night) until I looked at the reviews on TripAdvisor and saw that you really do get what you pay for.....

    Holidays Inn are pretty cool, I wouldnt mind staying there

    being from Lowell,Ma. I know these things (I'm just a pot head :mrgreen: )... my city is tougher than Albany so no worries!

    Crazy Breed...thanks for clearing that up for me...I know Lowell very well, dated a guy who lived there...I was born and raised in Everett MA....From what I've heard Albany is a fairly nice place...I am not worried about it...I just want to stay in a nice place...I hope I can get a good rate too! This is going to be soo fun! :D

    Yeh funnygirl, somewhere nice & safe, thats isn't too expensive. Holiday Inn could be good bet, anyone know if there is a local one...

    Yes, there is a Holiday Inn nearby (300 Broadway Ave), but best price I could find was on Orbitz starting at $122 per night + taxes....

    christ! You can tell its been 5yrs since i was last in USA. I stayed in Marriot Inn in NJ, cost like $70 a night!

    No kidding! I remember going on family vacations and staying at decent hotels (such as Holiday Inns, etc) for less than $100 night no problem...
