Dredg would be awesome, not many ppl know of dredg and I personally guarante that every pj fan will love them.

I would love to see sonic youth again though.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

First of all, I'm not a huge interpol fan, I liked their first album but not much after that...

Second, This is your opinion and you're entitled to it... but you could be less rude when spouting off what you like and dislike... you are by no means an authority on music, please stop acting like you are... it's nothing but annoying.

    uh...no. interpol is absolutely horrendous.

as for an opener, the white stripes would be cool.

    OR...

How about no opener...just 3 solid hours of Pearl Jam rocking our asses off?!

I would be up for no opener if it means more PJ. MMJ did it their last tour. What about the new Jack White band?
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

Ed has pretty well made it known that he isn't a Jack White fan, so I'm pretty doubtful of that, besides, JW is too well established to open for PJ...same argument could be made for the Strokes, but they haven't done too much as far as touring....

Black Keys is a fantastic idea and Kings of Leon would be my #2...MMJ for #3.

How people could enjoy the Buzzcocks is beyond me...my ears were bleeding in Boston when I saw them open in 03'...couldn't differentiate one instrument from the other...maybe the blame falls on the venue but I doubt it.

Sleater Kinney? They broke up? Good :)

You could also throw in Liam Finn for honorable mention...he might not be suited well for larger venues but man was I impressed with his opening acts for Eddie.

I thought Idlewild was really good.

Mudhoney is always fun, X was great.

Whoever they want is fine with me as long as there are some shows out West that I can make. Jack White's newest band would be cool, Jack on drums will be fun. (The Dead Weather)

I would love to see Wilco or the Tragically Hip.

I think Wilco's too big to open for PJ. It'd be awesome to have a tour where the Hip open for PJ here and then PJ returns the favor in Canada.

I never got a chance to see MMJ and from what I have heard... great. I want to see that stuff in a big room.
I surfaced and all of my being was enlightened.

I dig them and think they'd be fun, but I can already hear the bitching from PJ fans that believe music is supposed to be anything but fun.

please no more bands like KOL and MMJ..that sound gets tiresome and old

KOL even knew that hence why they came out with a radio friendly song like "Sex on Fire" and now every person around me likes them

most of what has been suggested on this topic is whiney music where every song sounds the same so you appear to be listening the the same song for hours on end
