Logging onto the goods section and adjusting email address in profile

I originally had the email address x. I changed it to y. y won't logon, x still does. I then click on the profile and it asks me to logon again. I then logon again with x and it sends me back to the front of the goods section and doesn't allow me to adjust my profile.
I really want this to work so i recieve emails on my new email address. any thoughts?

    i tmight be your cookies. If you're using Internet Explorer click on tools/internet options Then click on the privacy tab, then the 'advanced' button, then check the box that says 'override automatic cookie handling' or something like that. Just make sure accept or enable are checked, then it will keep you logged in
