Where can I find a ranking to see how well PJ did on their 2006 tour?

I feel like they did really well, but it's hard to find them on any of the "Top Tours of 2006" because its all by ticket sales gross, which as someone said "its easy to be #1 when you're tickets cost $400".

Anyone?? I'm trying to show PJ don't just have a cult following :)

I am probably the last person to get their latest album (just got it last week) and I was blown away by the musicianship and songwriting on it. I'm sure it was a good year on tour, whatever the numbers were. this album has basically resotred my faith in rock n roll. Living in sotuh florida, the airwaves are dominated by hip hop and latin music. it sometimes feels like rock is a dying form. PJ should have called this album CPR

Not sure where the exact numbers are, but you can check my sig for the shows I was at. The only shows that seemed to have some empty space were Hawaii on 12/2 and Gorge on 7/23 (wasn't nearly as crowded as the night before, being on a Sunday im sure most people had to head back home after the marathon show the night before)

All the others were either sold out, or damn well near it.
    2004 - 10/1, 10/11
    2005 - 9/15, 9/16, 9/30, 10/1, 10/3
    2006 - 5/5, 5/12, 5/13, 5/27, 5/28, 5/30, 6/1, 6/3, 6/23, 7/22, 7/23, 12/2
    2007 - 6/27, 8/3
    2008 - 6/14, 6/19, 6/20, 6/22, 6/24, 6/25, 6/27, 6/28, 6/30, 7/1

thanks! It's funny, I've been a huge PJ fan from the get go and i've never ventured into the message board until recently. Ten came out right after I graduated high school and it blew me away. This was when bands like Warrent and white lion were dominating the airwaves. the northwest sound (I hate the term grunge) came along at a time when it was really needed, and they have ben rocking my world through college, grad school, marriage, and now fatherhood. It's amazing how their music has been in the backdrop of my like through all of my life's major changes. and now this album sort of pulls it alll together. the urgency and immediacy of their first work, but with a maturation in their songwriting and outlook. it's a beautiful peice of work. I wish i had seen them live right after it cameo ut. now they're in europe and I have no idea when they'll be tourin the US again, i hope soon.

I have it. I like it. the songwriting is not vastly different. the new one's a bit heavier in some parts, but has a similar feel. you don't like hey, you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

so you like riot act a lot, but you don't like songs like Marker in the sand, army reserve, inside job, big wave, or come back? at all?

i love that song. I think riot act and pearl jam are the two best albums they've come out with since vitalogy. I'll even say that I like the new one better than all of the others besides 10.

what's your opinion of No Code, Yield and Binaural?

I didn't realize that some people still typed with their ass cheeks. That's very old school. The technique is very difficult to master.

Barbara Streisand tickets for an upcoming Irish show in July:
    minimum price - 118 euro
    top price - 550 euro

None of those are even within the first five rows! If you wanna sit there bidding starts at 560...
No wonder she's on this list! But then obviously people are willing to pay such atrocious prices. :o

That's impressive if you ask me. Since PJ doesn't have a show on every week. Unless you count Storytellers on MHD at 7:00am :)

look at how much the rolling stones pulled in compared to Aerosmith. both bands have acheived rock immortality for sure, but man that is a huge difference.

I'm with ya. Love riot act too. they're both really good, it's hard for me to see how someone could love one and hate the other.

I gave binaural a good lsiten this morning for the first time in a while and I like it more than I used to. one of those albums that grows on you over time.

It is all about ticket prices. Pearl Jam will never be in the top 10 because they don't charge the outrageous prices some other bands do.
