rumor of pearl jam show in philly....

    been to philly twice, Spectrum 03 and Camden 06, if they do Spectrum or Wachovia I'll go, but Camden is a fuckin shithole, the tailgate was a blast but that was the drunkest crowd I've ever been around, plus once I get into Camden I feel like I'm on an episode of cops.

    i have seen....and been involved in alot of drunken silliness......

    i have never seen bigger fucking assholes in my fucking life.....than the assholes i saw in that camden parking lot.......

    actually I think you're wrong there Speedy. If the Band does play Philly lets make plans to hook up. I'll come up from Virginia and I can take you to some of the fun places in Philly that make it unique. Serious offer.

    i emailed matt cord about this possibility the other day. for what its worth he said he hadnt heard anything and to check back with him in a month. he usually will drop a hint if something is brewing. philly was setting records last year for gun violence but that really doesnt effect the venues or anyhthing. id prefer it ten times to camden, nay 1000, which is notorious for its crime.

    Whats all this talk about philly crime vs camden crime? You would base where you want to see s show off the crime numbers? These murders don't happen in the wacovia center or tweeter center parking lots people.

    Personally, since it would be the summer I would prefer to see an outside concert. I love looking back and seeing the huge crowd blend into the sunset. I was at philly 05 and the crowd was better but i had a better time at the 06 shows.

    i'm pretty sure *most* of the murders weren't happening at pearl jam concerts. :p

    the city has its nice parts... and it's bad parts...like any city.

    Ed mentioned that one of his favorite episodes of Cops was filmed in Philly during the first 98 show in Camden. I'll never forget that rant ... lol :D
