awkward moments like
seeing her in the grocery store
with her new man, buying
veggieburgers and heads of lettuce
so fit, so shiny, like an American Idol
every move planned, every word
a scripted sound bite
It's like watching a foreign film
everytime you open your
dirty little mouth
i had a wet dream
i found you in the frozen food section
you smiled and said something
callous and condescending
i smashed your face into
the freezer door and woke up
with a terrible mess to tend
so he's got a camaro and a
great stereo system
i've got a clock radio that
talks like r2d2 when the
bell rings you awake
how appropriate that your
personal hygiene gives you away
so perfect and prim on the outside
but so vile and odorious
in your most rotten and sacred places
your true inner spirit leaking out
and polluting the world around you
