I didnt get a CFOX presale code this time no email :(

Tough going it took while for one to pop up.
I'm excited, saw him last time in the pit at the Queen E and it was incredible gotta go again!

I almost missed the CFOX presale email myself. The only reason I went back and found it in my trash folder was because of another music thing I'm signed up to that sent me an alert of the announcement yesterday. The reason I didn't see it was because it looked like only a CFOX food drive email. Chances are good that you trashed it too. They should send separate emails for presales always!

Oh man, saw Manson like back in 96 on Halloween. Played convention hall in asbury park. Show didn't start until super fucken late cuz some crack nut called in a bomb threat. Helmet opened. Show was pretty good. Nice to be able to see him in a small venue.

Honestly that's the album that got me into him, I never had listened to any of his stuff until I check out that latest album. Now I like most of his stuff so I'm sure I'll dig the new one too. From what I read it's going to be unlike his other music so I'm curious to hear it!

I think he does ballads super well, so if the change is a toned down style or something that could be really good. Looking forward to finding out! I went to his show during The Pale Emperor tour, but unfortunately it was at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, which happens to have the worst sound in the history of all music venues (actually this show was the last straw with this place. I have since boycotted this theatre completely). I couldn't even hear him singing really. It was just a bunch of garbled noise for the most part. I was really disappointed, especially because the tickets were expensive.

I also went to see him that tour! It was at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto and it was hella good. The pumpkins are my second favourite band so that was a great night despite Manson putting the pumpkins to shame. They were incredible this year though at Massey Hall. But yeah, I agree with you, I think I'd really like a stripped down effort by him, maybe not such a hard rocking album. But then again he is awesome at that so we'll see!

Been a Manson fan myself for many years. Antichrist superstar is sick on vinyl. Anyway, was curious about the pale emperor, I still haven't picked it up, but I've read mixed reviews. You guys dig it?

I really want ACSS on vinyl too! Lowest price on discogs is nearly $300 CAD unsealed .... actually the prices have dropped a lot. Last time I looked (some time ago), the cheapest was closer to $500. I wonder why he doesn't reissue?? It's high time for it. He could sell a lot of them.

Yeah that's the version I have, the red one. I found it on eBay probably two or three years ago. I paid a pretty penny but I think it was like $90. I had been watching for a long time as it was always one of my favorite from the 90's.

Don't worry though, vinyl is still crazy hot so they're all jumping on the reissue train (like pj). If there's anything out there you have your eye on, my suggestion is just wait.

$90?? I mean, technically that's a lot for an album, but relatively, that is a steal!

Lol yeah I know. I got it for cheap seeing as how it's priced now! But yeah that and a few others were/are always on my watch list, so when I saw it I grabbed it. Always on the lookout to blow some hard earned cash!

  • I know he sucks live (nowadays).

But man The Pale Emperor was a great album. And Mechanical Albums is one of the greatest albums of all time.

He's releasing something new this year, right?

    Hopefully he straightens out live.

i saw him perform in '04 while i don't think he sucked i could have sworn at one point he lip-synced. After that I tried to see if he did it again but don't think he did. Maybe i just thought he did, but who knows. Overall he was pretty good.

Love "Lost Boys', such a classic movie. The original song is great, this cover is pretty damn good as well.

Marilyn Manson look/feel lazy and not engaged live. And maybe that was never his forte.

But he has some great rockpop sensibilities.
