the mission to release old shows (pre-2000) by PJ has been seemingly abandoned? I was really excited about this when they put out that news bit several years back that they were going to release an old show periodically. The only show that I recall being released through this was that Vegas show from 1993, unless I missed other ones.

Sorry I don't know but maybe it's due to low sales, thou this is a total guess as I've no idea what sales of the last few tours of boots we're. Anyone else got any ideas as I'm interested to know too?
As for older boot, they released the New York New Years Eve show from 1992 I believe? Seem to remember it cam free if you pre-ordered Pearl Jam.

Yeah, but that ended up being just a copy of the audience recording that'd been floating around in trading circles for years.

neil young is really nailing how to release old live performances..... i dont think it would be due to low sales on pearl jams end, how much does it cost to just put up an old show and let people DL it?

Part of it may be due to the bitching that ensued after the new years eve show was released. Maybe the recordings they have are not as high quality as they initially thought. Maybe they just mentioned that as a possibility in the future. maybe that is part of the busy '08 everyone is wondering about...who knows. But I dont think it has been completely abandoned, I just think that they are not going to release every Pearl Jam show since the beginning of time as everyone initially thought.
