This song is much better live. I know it will be, but if it is put on the new album exactly as it is now I will be somewhat disappointed. At least  whole year of the song before the album comes out makes it kind of stale imo. I would rather something never heard before to be honest.

I liked it live, as well.

Love how the Tim Hortons sign is in the b/r

Yeah, the recorded version didn't knock me out but I was really impressed when they played it at Fenway. Interested to hear how it translates when I listen to the boot.

  • I was curious to the reaction. At Wrigley it seemed my whole section around me stood still. I had 10C res. And then boom! Wishlist. And the section was bouncing around again.

yeah totally not impressed, would be the 12th best song if it was on Backspacer, it's as bad as the Missoula poster, I don't care for either

Ya ha ha, hilarious. Maybe even worthy of a full discussion!

For me, Don’t Deny Me would be 10th best, just ahead of The End and Just Breathe.

    It sure is.

As for Can’t Deny Me, I like it. Not my favorite song, but it’s a good tune.

Can’t tell if you are joking or not.

I’m still shocked that other band members conceded to putting a song on a PJ release that features only 1 band member.
Probably should have gone on a solo EV album.

    B-)

All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.
  • I really like can’t deny me .... recorded and live.  I like the anger and rawness.
    hippiemom = goodness
  • It isn't a GREAT song IMO, but its rocking and I dig the lyrics and it does translate well live so overall I dig it.

I hope it isn't on the new album though, just because its been out for a while already and would rather another song in place of it
  • I put it with Ole  ;)

Trying to say something nice about Can't Deny Me.....(Jeopardy music playing)........ well it is better than Ole, Ole & Sweet Lew

Kick Out the Jams and Ole are basically the same thing.
So why do people love one and not the other?
