Join repast of coffee and woven pie
with incantations for collapsed stories
left like abandoned pets, but rescue fine
impressions that propel your pen with ease.

Thread plot angles with saffron grit and tease
pungent denouements perceptibly wrong,
throwing a character on a trapeze
of alternative decisions prolonged.

What is a story but two end points squeezed.
Two bread slices smeared with a special sauce,
and filled with chunky salads made of cheese
and smart intentions tossed in dated gloss.

The last coffee sip and the last pie bite
signal the end of today's writing sight.
