hey guys,

have a few questions. My wife and I are expecting and she is dead set on getting a poster and a shirt for the baby and my wife’s first PJ show. Any poster, any shirt. Anything. Is it a pipe dream trying to get merchandise?

thanks

No, just a long wait, and you will get something.
I am lost, I'm no guide, but I'm by your side

I don’t want to spend a fortune on it on eBay. But my options will be limited. So will eBay be that much of a markup?

Probably.  Perhaps move this to Lost Dogs. (You can edit and switch the location.) Maybe see if you can find a buddy to help you get a poster at Wrigley.

    Good luck!

Just go to the merch tables during the show.....pick a song you don't necessarily like (just breathe, fixer, last kiss, evenflow, jeremy, etc).  There's no reason to stand in line, especially if you don't really care what poster or shirt you get.

day before Wrigley 1 in '16 we waited 4+ hours for merch.  after the show we waited 20 mins in street tent outside LF side of ballpark.

quite a few shirts and posters were on sale here a little while after the shows, but not all options/sizes.

Didn’t go to Wrigley 16, but at Wrigley 13 I spoke to people who waited 8 hours And then was sold out of posters when they got there, only to see it restocked 10 minutes later.
If I lived there maybe I’d feel different, but I just can’t see the purpose in visiting such an interesting city only to spend 1 day in line for merchandise. Even if you have to spend 200% mark up later, is that worth a day in line?
    Thats my take on it.

I guess it depends on what your time is worth.  For me, I am not taking a trip to Chicago to waste hours of it standing in a line for a silkscreened t shirt or a poster that I can get when I get back home.  In Moline the lines weren't too bad at all, but I still didn't bother because I didn't want to carry this stuff around or walk a mile back to my car.  If you're really not choosy about what you get, then I would pass.  You can pick up virtually anything online at a later date.  Wait a few months and you can get it for a small mark up.

Im flying in early Friday morning and headed straight to merch.  Hopefully everything will still be in stock.  Will also go to merch again on Sunday if I have to.

It will definitely work out one way or the other, keep the faith.  Congrats to you both!

Waited 3 hrs for merch the day in between shows in 16.  Was able to get 3 of 5.  Night 2 was able to get the rest of posters inside, so YMMV.  If youre not picky, you should be able to get something.
