So what turns PJ fans off about Creed? 1) the (off base) comparisons between Stapp and Ed, 2) the laughable statement that one of their members made regarding Stapp as a better lyricist than Ed, and 3) during the months (weeks?) that Creed was super-popular, they were over-publicized.
OK, #2 was a stupid statement, but so what? I think if there'd been no Creed/PJ comparisons and no shade thrown by the band member, most of us would just think of Creed as another mediocre rock band that had their 15 minutes. But would we really go out of our way to hate them so much? It's kinda silly.
