Creed Is Garbage

Evenflow8112Evenflow8112 Bloomfield, NJ Posts: 28
Can we have a thread where we basically insult Creed for attempting to soil our favorite band's rep? I'm sorry if this already exists, but honestly, it deserves to exist more than once.

    I agree with helplessdancer.

My guess is no since it's probably against forum rules.

It doesn't irk you a *little* that Creed have a generation of PJ-haters fuel to attack them with? Not to mention the bassist's comments.

I have a 14 1/2 year old.  Believe me, a lot of things irk me. The group chat she was in ended up involved in somehow had an adult sending sexual videos to a bunch of kids.  She bailed immediately and told me.  We discussed charges if this comes up again, but the number is blocked.

The school trip to Philly involved a female roommate trying to sexually assault her.  Thank goodness for a therapist retained for her test taking anxiety tackling this as well.

You are right.  Plenty of things irk me.  This happens not to be one of those things.

But... Press on.  Not saying for you not to be irritated, but I just have different concerns. :peace:

I don’t see how disliking Creed leads to me not caring about the rest of the world? I just think Creed is awful, is all.

My Own Prison is really good.  Everything else... bleh.

I never quite understood the comparison with PJ.  My Own Prison, for example, sounds so much more like AIC than PJ, both instrumentally and vocally.  Probably why I like that album.  I don't think Stapp sounds anything like EV whatsoever on any album.  Never understood equating the two bands.  Different musical styles and singers that sound nothing alike.

I don't mind the first album and some tracks on the second. There's much worse out there. Like Nickelback and Coldplay.

They have some good songs. They are old news, not sure why they still bother you so much. Seems like maybe you are trying to suppress the fact you might actually like some of their stuff?

And while we’re discussing the issues of today, I can’t stand Surge soda or those preppy Abercrombie jeans.

Even though Creed was watered down rock, watered down rock on mainstream radio and media is better than no rock at all like today.

Also, is Joey ever going to sleep with Dawson? You know they like one another!

Creed is definitely better than 21 Pilots! LOL ;) I have Creed's Greatest Hits and listen to it every year or two. What's the big deal?...it's like listening to Billy Joel, Steve Miller Band or Madonna - I'm not ashamed of Creed. I think Scott Stapp sings with Art of Anarchy now and they have a few good songs. Why not waste our energy bashing New Kids On the Block too?

Plus - I really like Alterbridge. And Alterbridge is 75% of Creed. Surprising how much the music can change with a different singer like Myles Kennedy. Peace out!

Never thought Creed was like PJ, but their music was a guilty pleasure. I liked the first 3 albums. Discovered them my senior year and blasted My Own Prison in our senior lounge. Good times.

LOL- I was at that show. that was a classic version of Green Disease.

I remember when Creed was a bar band coming up in Tallahassee. no one thought they would ever make it to the big time.

I think my old band might've played a battle of the bands that featured them at one point around 96.

Hell, I LIKE Twenty One Pilots, all things considered. They're also the only commercially successful act of the last few years who bear any resemblance to a rock band, in the meaningful sense.

Saw then at a festival when they were breaking and they killed it.
    Tremonti the guitarist was killer!
