Just wondering, does anyone know if someone on these boards have the original of any poster. By this I mean the one the artist painted. The first Catch, Kong, Crackerjack.......
    As said, just wondering

Some artists, Mumford is a good example, create their artwork digitally. So there’s not really an original as such. It’s a digital file.

At this point it’s really most artists, not some.

Posters printed in huge quantities won’t sell.  Like it or not people like to buy limited things.  Look on eBay at the prices for the Binaural tour posters that were printed with all the cities on them. They printed them in huge quantities and you can barely give them away.
    This 100%
This 5%.   The Binaural posters are awful.   There's plenty of Fenway posters up still, plenty of SA '18 posters up on the site.  It's not about supply it's about quality.  Munk could make 6,000 of Pittsburgh 2013 and they'd still fly off the shelves.   Bad posters don't sell.  Rare posters have flipping potential, but only if they're good.
I agree that bad posters don’t sell well.
    Hahahahahah

Wrigley 13 was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back
Could not agree more. As someone who arrived in town the day of the show I was pretty bummed about the way all of that played out.

I look back and amazed that I got the AP for Moline, after striking out at the show. Nowadays that would never happen. They demand is tenfold compared to what it used to be.
Same here! Do you recall the uproar over the 50 AP's stated in Ian's initial email vs. the 100 AP's actually sold?!?!?! 4 years later Europe tour joins the mercy truck, rather merch madness!
    ...just got a fresh bottle.

Three shows and bought no merch.  Nothing.  I didn’t try either.  Liberating and not worth the long waits. If I can snag a poster online I will, but not for a lot of money.
Same here, I managed to get a Prague poster just after early entrance while there was noone standing in the inside tents. Didn't try in Krakow and Berlin, preferred to have beers with friends instead of standind in lines for hours to find out that almost everything was sold out. Lets hope they will drop the posters to the shop soon.

My Experience with the merch: Bear in mind didn't queue at all. Just walked straight to stands once arrived for show/ticket pick up.
Rome - Arrived 17:00 - No show tees, stickers/pins or posters left
Prague - Arrived 18:00 - No show tees, stickers/pins or posters left
Krakow - Arrived 19:00 - No show tees, stickers/pins or posters left
Berlin - Arrived 20:00 - Funnily enough the latest I arrived out of all the shows. Stickers and pins were available. No show tees or posters left.
Werchter - Arrived 16:00 - No show tees. No pins. Stickers and posters were available. Glad I didn't queue for any of these shows. Just mad, especially that Krakow one.
