EV Uke Zippo on ebay.

MattchewMattchew Posts: 1,345
Not mine, and the price is insane, but I know a lot of you have been searching for this EV zippo.  It's also nice to see these pop up every now and then.

    Ya that price is insane

That price is exactly as I predicted. If people are willing to pay $600.-$700. For he Brazil zippo, then the Uke and Aussie map have to be worth $1000. or more.

Someone could always make the seller an offer too.

supply and demand. the seller is willing to let it go for the right price. 2 different people bid over $700 on the brazil the other day so why not aim for the stars?  all it takes is 1 buyer needing this impossibly rare zippo

So who would give up a zippo for a grand?
i would consider a grand, now I believe a Brazil is never joining the eight I have.
and I guess Possibly another unobtainable zippo at ohana, l guess the same guys who had them for sale on eBay will be there again.
but I said I consider a grand, not pull the trigger.

Good on him. I hope it sells
If people are willing to drop $700+ on the Brazil zippo then I don’t see why this guy can’t get a G for the Aussie zippo.
And just like g2f12. I’ll probably never have the Brazil zippo in my collection if the price doesn’t drop.

So I see there that it says it can be paid across 2 years, do many E-Bay sellers do that? I haven't used the site for years so never noticed that.

The Brazil zippo story is just like the EV Mumford poster. It doesn’t make sense to me that these new items are worth as much, sometimes more, than classic prints/older zippos. I mean, the 3 last Kongs sold on eBay averaged 830$ and the mumford is at 750$. Like Dave says, supply & demand I guess/

I'd give up 2 unopened packs of 2013 Wrigley cards for it.

It's funny how these things go, because to me I wouldn't dream of paying anything over cost price for it. It's bad that people buy just to sell them.

It's official...I am giving up on collecting them all. It's gotten completely out of control. Paying a premium for a collectible item is one thing but the prices on the lighters have just gotten stupid. Makes me sad....and a little mad.

$964 Canadian?  Isn’t that like 50 bucks in US dollars?

    I think I paid $50 for mine,  =)
a great score on lost dogs from someone who’s awesome.
i know I wouldn’t pay 750 for a zippo, I can’t bring myself to spend 500 on my holy grail.
but I guess what choice do you have, I caved to buy a ohana last year and that was 250 but my justification was to set my set going, but now I have all but given up hope of a Brazil zippo

 I think the rate is actually running around 0.78 right now. Not great but not terrible either. But I really really miss that glorious, all-to-short time back around 2008 or something when it was 1.10! .... Not to many good things to say about the 2008 crash, but that's one of them. If you're Canadian, lol.

The listing is over. Says no longer available. Amazing how these have become such a collectors item. They don’t appeal to me much. Tough to complete the set with these crazy prices though.

Do the lighters work? I bought one from an EV show in 2011 and remember trying it. All it did was spark and never actually flamed. I haven't tried since.

Stupid question, but did you add lighter fluid?
