Was the Do the Evolution video made for widescreen?

It's 16:9 on youtube. What's the original aspect of the video, 1.85? Or is it 16:9 (1.78).

It must have been shown in 4:3 in the 90s(?). So was that version cropped or was it letterboxed? Or is the youtube version cropped or was it made safe from the beginning for two aspects?

    I honestly don't know for sure but I feel like it was letterboxed, that's how I remember it but I could be wrong. I had it recorded onto a VHS at one point but I don't think there's much hope of me locating it to find out
