I think it's similiar to Mind your manners but with some added groove.

If anyone is having problems with the download...
    - If you don't see it...Please log out & log back in. Should be there under Downloads

    - It's a zip file and will need to be uncompressed before you listen to it.

    - If you are using Internet Explorer and having issues, please try a different browser. You may want to download Google Chrome or Firefox instead

The "dryness" of the sound (if anyone understands what I mean) maybe... but the song?

Maybe sounds  a bit, from the top of my head like Simmons Unholy?

The A Nightmare on Elm Street soundtrack on vinyl. It's fucking 100+ dollars. I can't pay that.

Is this when some PJ fans realize the band is politically progressive and boycotts them? Better seats for me lol

This one is not for me.  But that's ok because they still have 25 + years of music.  And I hope the distortion in the very beginning of the song is just some download type issue.  It almost seems like the gains were too high when recording it.

The song reminds me of RATM (which I like).

I am the Nina The Pinta The Santa Maria
    The noose and the rapist
    And the fields overseer
    The agents of orange
    The priests of Hiroshima
    The cost of my desire

    I will always have Corduroy.

Will listen through it again with this in mind. That can't be a negative. :)

Yes.  The band's only job is to play shows.  /end sarcasm.

This song is terrible. I'm surprised to see I'm the only one who's posted so far that thinks so, but hey, that's cool that you guys like it. Wish I could share your enthusiasm.
it's not very good, it's just a song. if that's 4 years in the making?

I feel like Mike is absent in the new single.

because he is as well as the rest of the band

A protest song when protest songs are needed. And if one more fan tells me that Pearl Jam was *never* political or shouldn't be *political*. The last nonsense. And the first: watch PJ Unplugged, Porch and the writing on Ed's arm. Enough said.

    Pearl Jam should be political
And they are doing wonderful things

Particularly trying to help horses to be natural
    And the homeless need shelter

    Feed everyone vegetables

    It sounds like KISS

I can see why several wouldn't like this song. It took me a while to adjust to the new sound of Eds vocals after LB, but he still just belts it out and I enjoy that. This isn't a lyrical masterpiece, but it isn't drivel either. It's mad and to the point. It won't be an all time hit, but it's timely and a nice standalone track. As someone else mentioned, I like the raw sound to this and how it was recorded.

My favorite parts are the percussion and Stone's riff.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Well it's a promo single for fan club only. So enjoy it for what it is.

Unless you're one of the ones who's gonna be butt hurt by the lyrical content. And in that case, that's kind of what it's about
