Losing Malcolm to dementia at a relatively young age is heartbreaking.  R.I.P. Malcolm.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

His local pub (Australian Residence) was also mine, so I got to say Hi to him a few times - while not bothering him.
Good man, a real shame. Rest in peace.

I got to meet him once, too. He was very cool and a little crazy after too much sake.

Riff in peace, Mal. You were the engine that powered some of the greatest rock and roll songs of all time. A legend.

In 1981, my buddy convinced me to buy Back in Black. I was an easily influenced grade 8 dweeb.

I I'd seen AC/DC on jean jackets, but I had never heard them. When I got home, I put my new record with some headphones. Holy f**k. I listened to the entire album the rest of the night. It's been overplayed, but You Shook Me is an awesome classic rock song.

I immediately started saving my money for Highway to Hell. Again... holy f**k. Touch Too Much. Walk All Over You.

    Incredible albums. Still awesome.

The legends are beginning to fall. This has been a rough year.
