Would you buy more directly from 10c if shipping was cheaper?

    Yes, definitely
I'll always buy 10c exclusive items if I want them despite the shipping cost. I do try to support 10c and add other items to my basket to see what the delivery cost is, but when you take that cost and the likely customs charge I just can't pull the trigger on something I can get way cheaper elsewhere.

Shipping has gotten insane for what we get. I ordered the LP2 vinyl from 10C, because it's always hard to gauge what availability will be like, but $12 for shipping to the US is just shitty. The last 7" I bought from them came looking like it had been run over by the mail truck and the cover was bashed in on every single corner. I'm not sure the added costs are actually buying me anything as a consumer.

Limited items I'll still go for... but if I think i can get it at Amazon, that's where I'm heading from now on.

Those of us who bought Singles LP on Amazon saved like $15 total, or more I think.
I love the band, and they've been my favorite for over 20 years now, but that doesn't mean I should blindly throw my money their way. I'll buy it somewhere else if I can find it 50 cents cheaper. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't.

That's exactly what I've been saying for years. I won't buy anything but exclusive releases through 10c. Just as I have no interest in lighting dollar bills on fire for the hell of it, I have no interest in sending those extra dollars to 10c. Order from Amazon (or wherever is cheapest), keep the extra cash for myself. 10c isn't a charity that needs donations.

I'm not international so I don't care.  If I was I'd be pissed like ya'll are.

edit- though this poll is kinda like asking "would you rather pay more or less for something?

    -I like to pay more

    -I like to pay less"

Maybe the should charge us customers a bit more and reduce cost for international customers. Sounds fair. Lol.

Someday our Canadian dollar will be at equal or even greater then the USA dollar, and someday 10club will offer a 2nd tier of International shipping rates that will include a Canadian shipping rate. Someday ...

We are talking about a difference of $32 dollars CDN savings & it includes free 2 day shipping with Amazon Canada on the Let's Play Two vinyl.

10club's customer service is A++++ & we all want to support our 10club. But damn it's so hard for fan's who live outside the USA. They must know this. They only offer 1 international shipping rate. Just one. That's it. The Standard International Shipping rate. Wish we had choices on shipping with 10club.

There was a brief time when shipping to Canada was very reasonable but that's long gone. I prefer to buy from 10club but their shipping costs to Canada really force me to look for cheaper options if they are available

We've been spoiled by Amazon and free two day shipping.  The fan club is not a huge operation and it's unlikely they would be able to compete with online retailers on shipping price or speed.

The problem is its not even Amazon we're comparing it too, its other fan clubs etc. Metallica has no membership fee and international shipping for 3lp is half that of 10c for a 2 lp.

Yeah... but who cares what the shipping cost when you're stuck with a crummy Metallica record?

The latest metallica 3lp vault style release will cost me £36.49 shipped to the UK. It is being shipped from their European store so hopefully no import charges will be applied. Vault 7 has set me back just under $100 before taxes and fees which will be at least an extra $25 on top when it arrives. I've bought pretty much every piece of vinyl that I could get my hands on through 10c for many years now but have decided to go elsewhere for let's play two and to stop buying all the the singles that are put up unless it's something like a genuine side project (RNDM or levee walkers etc) I've never got lucky with a variant press (although I have been lucky to pick up most of the harder to get records when they dropped) One thing that might help would be if they were upfront about the possibility of a variant pressing and then international peeps would be able to make a judgement call on the gamble. I ordered all the previous reissues through them hoping that there was a variant and there wasn't. I have no problem with that, win some lose some but I spent an awful lot more money than I needed to to buy the reissues (3 or 4times)I decided I can't do that again. I also would expect that for the cost of shipping we pay it should arrive much quicker than it does. I have had notable exceptions where items turn up in a week or so but on the whole it is normally at least 4 weeks for something to arrive when I order from them. This is not a complaint about 10c, they are always polite and helpful when I get in touch with them. I personally think that the customer service is very good , it's just that living in the UK is cost prohibitive ordering things from them now and as a result they are losing my business.

Except other online stores (including other fan clubs, small indie record stores, etc...) charge far less for shipping, pay their staff, and eat.    All without collecting membership dues?    I tried to look at situations from both sides, but 10c has the most expensive shipping from any US website I order from.   Obviously we can't compare them to amazon who offers free shipping, but they vastly out price other small mom and pop operations that sell stuff online.

Perhaps 10C can offer a third tier of membership.  Analog Prime?  $80/yer, only difference is you get unlimited free shipping.  I bet they'd sell a decent amount of int'l subscriptions!

Used to ONLY buy from 10C even when I could get an item elsewhere. The past two years whenever possible I go to Amazon instead. As a Canadian not only is the product usually cheaper there in the first place, but The shipping is usually FREE (I have prime) and takes 2 days vs 1 month from 10C.

That being said, exclusives I begrudgingly still purchase here. The shipping between my LP2 and Vault 7 is over sixty dollars! Luckiest I have got was deciding to order Complete Scores from Amazon instead of here. I've had a copy for months and it only cost $45 CDN.  Starting to wonder if that bad boy is going to come out or if it just became my collections holy grail.

I still buy almost all of my PJ stuff from 10C, probably more due to historical loyalty these days than anything else. The shipping costs are a real pain in the ass, especially when they insist you have to preorder items separately and get stung for twice the costs just because you may want to get the cd and LP formats. However, my biggest complaint about 10C orders is the time it takes for them to be delivered.

It always takes weeks for any of my orders to get to Sydney, regardless of the size of the order. I have no idea why, especially when paying such a premium. Anything I order from Neil Young's website gets here within a week, and I ordered the new Iron & Wine LP direct from Sub Pop and received it in Sydney 4 days later.
