Poster Storage?

JosephKJosephK Posts: 217
Hi. I have been using a Picturesque Pro 18 x 24 portfolio with sleeves to store many posters flat, but for larger sizes, I was out of luck for years. I just stumbled on "Toploaders" from some store called BCW Supplies and they seem to be great, basically oversized baseball card hard sleeves. They have great sizes including 24x36 and 40x32, which helps protect and store larger posters. Do you guys have any other suggestions? I would have liked a 24x36 portfolio with sleeves but stores like Michaels and Jerry's haven't carried them in forever.

Thanks!

-Joe

the best advice i can give is to only collect/buy posters that you want to frame/display.

If you plan on acquiring a lot of posters...
nothing works better than a nice flat file.

    They are expensive...
but so are a lot of the posters these days,
and a flat file offers the best protection for your investment!

If you're just talking about storing a few oversized posters...
pick up one of these 36" X 48" foam core presentation boards at your local office supply store:

    They are less than $20...
I use one to store posters that are too large for my flat file!!

Itoya Polyglass sleeves work great in Picturesque presentation portfolio. Was tired of waiting for Picturesque to make more  (don't know if they ever will). Actually thicker plastic and thicker paper insert. Overall better quality than Picturesque.  Very impressed. Better than expected. Largest size they make is 18x24.
