That's really not the point being made. I don't think anyone has suggested she did the right thing here - she made a big mistake by lowering herself enough to try and respond to Trump's crap, and I don't think anyone denies that it's not at least awkward/uncomfortable that she's tended to overstate her Native connection (although I for one am completely buy the reasoning offered for this mistake; it's totally valid IMO - people really do work that way).
The point being made is that Trump supporters are ALL over it as though it's the scandal of the century (including a bunch of lies and disinformation swirling around to bolster it), while ignoring the actual scandalS of the century being committed on a regular basis by the one they support. As if you know anything about any individual living in their parents basement , what could of happened to such an individual there are so many scenarios where you might end up needing to get a helping hand from your parents ..We are all one catastrophic even from being homeless i never ever make fun of any one under those conditions ..off course there are freeloaders that take advantage of their families no doubt i would only criticize them if i knew all the details ...

That's really not the point being made. I don't think anyone has suggested she did the right thing here - she made a big mistake by lowering herself enough to try and respond to Trump's crap, and I don't think anyone denies that it's not at least awkward/uncomfortable that she's tended to overstate her Native connection (although I for one am completely buy the reasoning offered for this mistake; it's totally valid IMO - people really do work that way).
The point being made is that Trump supporters are ALL over it as though it's the scandal of the century (including a bunch of lies and disinformation swirling around to bolster it), while ignoring the actual scandalS of the century being committed on a regular basis by the one they support. It's ridiculous.
I appreciate what you're saying in the first paragraph but think you're in the minority on that front. Totally understand your second point.
