It’s unfortunate that The Best People tend to leak information and conversations.

Correct me where I'm wrong? Those that are saying the economy has nothing to do with Trump were the ones predicting the sky would fall and the stocks would crash with a Trump presidency.
I predicted a recession regardless of whether Clinton or trump was president.
I wasted 11 months of my life warning about Hilliary, then once Trump won, I warned not to let him "win the people". By people, I meant average everyday hard working americans that want an honest pay and financial security.

Im trying my best... dont say I didnt warn you!

I’m not sure what you’re warning us about. That Dems will flip a lot of seats in November?

I'm sure some more "thoughts & prayers" from Donny will solve everything.

Trump is such a piece of fucking shit.

As I missing something here? I've heard criticism of her bullying campaign and chain migration of her parents as hypocritical,  but never sucks directed at her personally.  This struck me as a straw man argument.  She seems to be somewhat of a sympathy figure,  one traped in a marriage.  This was a b.s. piece imo

Statements like this that bury demands for logic are counter-productive. We need to stop saying “they just hate us (who ever us is in any case)” and demand people fill logic gaps when presented, or acknowledge the gaps if they can’t fill them.

Democrats, reporters, us have tried logic and reason for years upon years.  Running on logical platforms and reporting facts.

Republicans run on falsehoods, rile up their base with lies and fear.  Some even find these articles 'interesting'  News never has to be correct (on the right).

I don't know how to debate those on the right when facts are just 'opinions' they don't like.

I don't know how to break the cycle.

    Ideas?

You and Halifax2TheMax are both right about this, it’s just very concerning when all conversations go down a road of “oh, they’ll never trust logic”, followed by a total pivot to that topic instead of the originally debated one. I’ve seen some on here revive unanswered questions for pages on end, and I think that’s the best approach. Keep reminding the public that answers which would invalidate source information remain unanswered, and should be seen with skepticism before used as reference material. I also agree that this is far from highly effective, but it’s the best I can think of.

PS H2TM - I still owe you a response to your message, and am so sorry I haven’t gotten around to it yet!

How horrific that Clinton and Obama worked hard to vocally combat outdated archetypes of a woman’s role in society and that we won’t all pause to appreciate Melania’s outer beauty.

“Doubling down, both Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama have assailed all women who didn't vote for their political agendas as brainwashed by their husbands or selfishly unenlightened. Where does that speak to brainwashing? That speaks to not normalizing grabbing women unconsentually by their genitals, or insinuations that that might be acceptable. If you think that is a laughing matter or anything which a supposedly-modern country should shrug its shoulders about (while then criticizing the outdated social norms in other countries), you have a fucked up view of the world and what progress we should expect of ourselves. And if you say that the economic decisions Trump would make are more important than combatting these vile actions, then you have contributed to the normalization of rape.

What is interesting to me is that logic is no longer a prerequisite for changing minds or reinforcing opinions. Gone. RYME, I would love to hear your side of any of these points since you found this “interesting”.

I have no idea what Trump economics has to do with the normalization of rape.  Nothing about the grabbing culture is funny or acceptable to me.  I believe rapists need capitol punishment upon conviction.
People like Michelle Wolf dosn't bother people.  People think this is funny, not vile but funny and ok.

And then proceeded to call anyone who voted for Trump racist sexist xenophobes Etc.
    Amazing bs.
If Melania Trump was married to Bernie Sanders, and if Burnie Sanders was somehow the president, Melania would be hailed as an amazing wounderful multicultural first lady.  Instead she is mocked because of the obvious.
And if Sarah Huckabee Sanders was Bernie Sander's White House Press Secretary, do you think Michelle Wolf would have done that to her?  No way.
Pathetic.  And somehow suggesting that I somehow support the normalization of rape, good grief.
It's impossible to have a conversation with that kind of accusation.

    You found that interesting?

“Her aversion to limelight and lack of political ambition are refreshing...

The hostile White House press corps blames Trump's own reticence for the publicity vacuum around her. But I believe there's something deeper at work:”

Which is it, admire her ability to stay silent, or blame others for her silence?

“So is her ability to refrain from public grievance-mongering over "sacrifices" and trade-offs made between work and home life (looking at you, Hill and 'Chelle O).”

"In light of this last election, I'm concerned about us, as women, and what we think about ourselves and about each other," “

    People think this is funny.
    https://youtu.be/JvNwUGWXOaA
I will admit that I'm an idiot, for hanging around here and daring to post a column that is right of center.

You keep trying to push some false equivalency that doesn't exist. In an alter reality none of those people is who they are at this moment without their blind obedience to Trump. Melania would never have been classy no matter who she married. I prefer my leaders and their spouses not to be made of plastic and pussy flashing objectifications of shallow breathed sweaty lugs.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Congratulations, Trump has been very successful. This is what you are really proud of, but leave unspoken while relating a level of ignorant agreement only someone living in a fairy tale could admire.

I will admit that I'm an idiot, for hanging around here and daring to post a column that is right of center.

Trump economics was one reason I figured people voted for him - I could’ve said Clinton’s lying tendency or any other absurd claims. The opposition Clinton and Obama were absurdly clearly referring to was against Trump’s abhorrent statements about women, which read as chauvinistic and entitled to any woman’s body he wants - with or without consent (the latter colloquially termed ‘rape’).

Regarding Michelle Wolf - would you like to hold comedians to the standards of a President, or the President to the standards of a comedian? Comedians do not represent countries and their people on global platforms. They do not need to tread cautiously with nuclear-armed nations. They are not looked to to inspire and lead 300 million. Their job is to make people laugh. This is why comedians aren’t suitable heads of state, and heads of state don’t typically go on comedy tours.

If Melania was married to Bernie Sanders, he would show her respect, dignity, and public warmth and affection - not the cold shoulder.

If Sarah Huckabee Sanders were the Press Secretary for Bernie Sanders, she would likely not have to toe the party line and lie through her teeth on a regular basis. This would not leave her positioned as an immoral person.

"In light of this last election, I'm concerned about us, as women, and what we think about ourselves and about each other," “

I will admit that I'm an idiot, for hanging around here and daring to post a column that is right of center.

Done what to her???  Called her out for literally lying for a living?

So you say you take rape and sexual assault seriously, yet you voted for and support a man who is credibly accused of both and has openly admitted to sexual assault??
