Why do some people brag about themselves a lot?

Gail Grazian Egbeyemi, Have clocked in over 30 years as an individual and family psychotherapist.
I think they are deeply unsure of their own value and significance. In their own minds, they are as much trying to convince themselves that they are talented and worthwhile as they are trying to convince others. They also may fear rejection and feel that they must convince others that they are worth being heard.

They want to be loved and looked up to, a behavioral tendency possibly developed due to them being neglected of the same previously in their life.
Insecurity and the urge to be accepted have forced them to be 'so full of themselves'.

and now he says that maria was worse than katrina, which he recently stated the exact opposite of.

his supporters keep looking past all this shit. I can't for the life of me understand how.

Thought this was funny. This was in several news outlets but only Fox News posted their reply.  All the liberal news outlets said they were unavailable for a response. They did respond though and refused to take the bet saying it’s outlandish and whatever.  Says a lot when they won’t back their words with their cash.  If they were so convinced they were right you’d think they’d take the bet, right?

It’s a typical conservative ploy, throw a bet to prove your plan or opposition thereof is a correct assessment of same. I remember Rush going on and on, day in and day out, that he’d bet a million dollars that Clinton’s plan for “putting people first” would raise interest rates, unemployment, the deficit and inflation, that basically it would lead to economic ruin, all because Clinton’s raised taxes on the wealthy. 22 million jobs later...................
We also know how effective the Bush tax cuts were in spurring the economy from 2000-2008.

How did the economy work out when he was advising G W Bush? We didn't end up in a recession as bad as anyone has seen since the great depression or anything, right?

I wasn’t analyzing anything other than the article.  Dude’s talked shit about trumps tax plan, someone called them on it and bet them 10,000 each on three different parts that they took issue with, and  they scurried away and refused to answer the call.  Just thought it was funny, because they obviously just talked shit because they don’t like trump, and wouldn’t stand behind all the shit they’ve been saying about his plan.  Just classic politics, talk shit but do nothing, you know? We see it all day from both sides. ’d love to see them actually take the bet though, just to see someone actually stand behind their plan on either side would be fucking sweet!

vaggar, I agree with you; your comment reminds me, though, of how Agent Orange's campaign offered John Kasich the VP spot and told him he could be in charge of foreign and domestic policy, while the orange one would be in charge of "making America great again" -- which I assume involves lots of golf and endless campaign rallies.

I knew Merrick Garland, Supreme Court nominee should have just gone to work anyway.

Trump nominees show up for work without waiting for Senate approval
Some lawyers and experts warn the administration may be bumping up against a 1998 law designed to prevent the president from doing an end-run around Congress.

That to me is how a crazy person would decide to dress in public on a daily basis.

She does it because she loved her grandmother and she wore hats. Nothing wrong with that in my eyes.

But her awful taste in hats/attire hopefully doesn't bleed into her decision making elsewhere. ;)
