Outstanding vocals aside, the subtle guitar is awesome.

Still quite a few songs that should be voted off before TC.

    Immortality

Tremor Christ is one of my top favorite PJ songs and I play it loud and often.

But then you go and vote for a stellar song like Last Exit? That's just craziness.
Anything you lose from being honest
You never really had to begin with.

Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.

Second that. And I get why some love tremor Christ. Impressive lyrically, bass and drums are sound, some cool little lead guitar stuff and atmosphere throughout. It works for what it is. But for me, it's just too grating. Both the rhythm and vocal tracks have their moments, but it's just not my thing. I know thats kind of the point, but it's also why I skip it as often as I listen.

Thought I had heard at some point that's stone didn't like playing it. Anybody else heard that? I think he's said similar things about No Way and Rival, both of which I enjoy considerably more than TC. But yeah, Stone's parts in those don't seem super fun.

So close between TC and STBC for that third elimination spot. Not looking good at all for Satan's Bed and Whipping.

    Whipping
The first round was obvious. I think putting those on the album hurt it, its easy to forget how many of the songs are great when there are 3 (or even 4 or 5) fillers on an album with 14 tracks. 10 or 11 tracks is still more than many bands put out, and could of have zero losers on this album. But I'm ready to vote for Whipping.

    Better Man
the original version of Satan's Bed as played live on the VS. tour would've been a hit single. as recorded for Vitalogy it was a disappointment. however.......Betterman has been played to death and ruined the song for me.

Played to death, sure, but there's no question it's an excellent song, well above Satan's Bed in every capacity.

You got it. Just put the ten "regular" songs" and it's absolutely killer. I could live with Aye D, or even Bugs, as one of those "additional/bonus tracks" after Immortality (kind of like Hummus or Writer's Block) but all four were too many.

exactly... loses all meaning IMO when you turn it into a sing-along.

I probably would have liked "Bugs" a lot more if it was the only filler. But to suffer through AD, Stupid Mop, Pry To and Bugs, all in the second half of the album, its just easier to put VS on at that point.
I still love Betterman, but I agree with others, I've always hated when the audience sings the first verse. Still a good song though.
I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't know that song was called "Hummus." But now its stuck in my head.

This is tough as there are so many of my favorite songs on this album.
I think that if Tremor Christ gets eliminated this early in, I may have to seriously consider finding a new PJ Forum!!! HA... I can't believe it has so many votes already.

Wow. Whipping and Spin the Black Circle with this many votes? Even Satan's Bed, the hidden gem on that album? Really? Rock is supposed to be aggressive. I should have voted Nothingman.

I guess it's fine when you are actually at the show but I can't stand it when I'm listening to various bootlegs. For this reason, I often have to go to earlier bootlegs (as far back as 2000 in many cases - the Kansas City performance is my favourite) to listen to EV sing the entire first part.

FWIW: I make a quite a few live compilations and I'm always "Frankenstein-ing" my Better Man track in order to ensure having no singalong intro AND a solid "Save It For Later" tag. For example, using the 2012 Manchester bootlegs I took the first half of Night 1 and the second half of Night 2 (or maybe it was the other way around) and made the perfect (for me, anyway) Better Man performance.

Wow, I can´t believe Last Exit has only three votes and is beating Better Man and Spin the Black Circle .... It makes my vote easier for next round, but still.
For me in the end it will be between Immortality and Corduroy.

It could be argued that Division 1 is one of the best 'side a' on any of their albums.

Can't go with Satan's bed cuz of that one lyric... still not sure why it's in there.

it just always sounded off. Didn't sound like Ed. Or he was trying too hard to be provocative or aiming for shock value.
