I really need a new album...

It's going on 4 years since Lightning Bolt came out. I really need some new music from them. Lots of things going on lately, in the world, in my life....times like these i cling to music. I need the distraction of a new album.
Near to death.
Here to die.
Scared alive.

    Yes new albumn would be sweet. I am a bit nervous the albumn won't live up to my expectations. These guys set the bar so friggin high with their first 6 albumns. In the end I will take anything new from these guys.

    Stone broke my heart and made it clear they've all agreed simple from now on....

    But I don't hate the music but sometimes the lyrics are not as interesting.

    I will take what I can get. There are few bands that bring a smile to my face.

    Yep, they all bought into the idea that simple is better. If that keeps them together and still making records than that is the way it is. There are still a few diamonds in the rough (Mind Your Manners, Pendulum, and Infallible) and some duds (SBM, Future Days).

    Was that from an inteview? I would love to see the source of the and the context of the whole interview. That really surprised me because Pearl Jam don't strike me as guys who would ever consciously try to be simple. That just seems very un-PJ.

    It's Stone's fault.

    They keep playing a clip from Stone on ch 22. About they don't want to paint themselves into a corner live. Something something something more it always makes me sad so I tune it out.

    Stone has talked about how the earlier albums are tougher to play live.

    Eddie talks about simplicity on PJ20 and with having kids he can't focus all his time on music. Makes sense. Music suffers a little though.
