ISO: Opened Benny Vinyl

Hi all,

I think it's time to try to obtain the elusive Benny. I'm hoping to trade for it, to be honest. I'm not looking to spend a small fortune or sell any organs. I have a lot of stuff to trade and think that, with the right person to trade with, we'd both be happy with the result. I have a lot of posters (PJ and otherwise) that I'd be willing to trade as well as other vinyl and various PJ/non-PJ merch. So, if you come across this post and see your Benny just sitting on the shelf never being played...I'm your guy. Here are a few examples of what I have to trade. (NOT LOOKING TO SELL THESE ITEMS)

PJ20 Ames
Soundgarden--Badmotorfinger (silver)
Jack White--Acoustic Recordings (blue)
Stone Gossard/Mason Jennings--Knife Fight 7" (autographed by Stone)

Those are just a couple of examples for you to see. I've been hoping for a Benny reissue for years & I seriously doubt that it will ever happen, so here I am.

    I just wanted to clarify that the items above aren't all that I have to trade...not even close. Just a few examples. If I posted everything, people would send me pm's to trade or sell for other items & all I went is a playable Benny.

    This is ridiculous!!!! Just reissue this damn thing already... This is the most sought out PJ album for vinyl lovers, sad PJ fans who never got the chance to get this have to trade/sale/bargain/etc just to have this while those who do could care less and want over a thousand dollars for it... Just stupid IMO. Come on PJ, we're not getting younger in life, you hear your fans on this, REISSUE THE DAMN THING ALREADY SO THE REAL FANS CAN ENJOY IT.... Sorry Matt, didn't mean to hi jack this for my rant brother.. Just pisses me off when great fans like yourself and everybody else of this band has spoken their voice about this one vinyl we all would love to own...... cheers brother, hope you snag one, you deserve it....

    I had to pay for mine but I had a small sale and generated the funds.
    It's definitely worth it for me anyways.
    Everytime I spin it it reminds me how ridiculously cool it actually is.
    It was RoleModels that told me to do a sale.
    Smart fella glad I listened.
    You might want to try the same method

    Even if they do reissue I'd buy another copy!

    May do a sale eventually, but going to try the trade route for a bit. I'm not in any rush, I've waited this long! Ha! Thanks for your advice!

    Second, I agree with the $800-900 for an opened Benny. That's what I've been looking to spend for months. But has anyone's noticed eBay. Seems like they've been listed at $2000 with Make an Offer and getting accepted at like $1700-1800.

    I may be leaning toward selling off individual items to get the Benny. If that happens, it would probably be late next week when I'm back in town. The whole idea of trading for it is to streamline the process a bit. I have a ton of stuff to trade.     The frustration is understandable, but it's not like they released it for everyone the first time around. When it came out it was a limited edition release for sale in the 10c store. It sold out in less than 48 hours, and quickly amassed legendary status. It's not like the missing studio albums, lo2l etc... where they were limited only due to how unpopular vinyl was at the time. Benaroya was a limited thing on purpose from the get go (clearly stated in the email that went out announcing it), so I tend to think it doesn't get reissued. Maybe I'm wrong, but I always get the feeling Benaroya was a one off thing.... Of course the band can always change their minds :)
