So...Mr. Papagiorgio has been wearing a wire for the last few months, eh?
Is that a Vegas Vacation reference???
It's no Christmas Vacation, but Cousin Eddy is great in it nonetheless.

i will bet anything that papadopoulos has been used as a mole the last few months. mob raid style. i am sure he has gone to meetings with a wire and has probably gotten others to discuss russia involvement in emails. isn't this typically what happens when you agree to turn state's evidence and plead guilty to lesser crimes?

Resignation might very well be real. The bigger joke is that Senator Tom, "I'm A Warrior, Hear Me Roar" Cotton thinks he has a chance.

I don't know about y'all, but I'm still full from that nothingburger yesterday.  It was so filling I might be inclined to think it wasn't a nothingburger at all, but Fox News and the WH assure me it was.

These nothingburgers sure are tasty. I can't wait until the Nothingburger Royale hits the menu. Piled high with runny, orange cheese.

I think it's in the Guilty column and the other two are in the Indicted column of the menu.
I have to say. I just wish the Republican party wasn't the party of Russia now. I liked the old party better. Honest, patriotic opposition; they just had different ideas on how to get something done, even if wrong ha. I may not have agreed with much they proposed but I never thought they'd put Russia ahead of our own country. Their silence on this is telling. No American should be against an investigation to get a country interfering in our government out of our politics. It's in our interest to learn what really went on in our election and I won't be listening to Moscow Sarah to find the truth.

republicans want power and nothing else. as long as they pull the strings they don't care what happens. can you imagine if obama had been this connected to russia? he would have been impeached and thrown into jail, perhaps executed as a traitor. but since this is their guy, and since it helped them gain power, and since they hold the power, they are gonna let an unbelievable amount of stuff slide and will only act when their power is threatened.

     * Manafort currently has three US passports, each under a different number. He has submitted 10 passport applications in roughly as many years, prosecutors said.
    * This year, Manafort traveled to Mexico, China and Ecuador with a phone and email account registered under a fake name. (The name was not disclosed in the filings.)
    * Over the past year, Manafort traveled to Dubai, Cancun, Panama City, Havana, Shanghai, Madrid, Tokyo and Grand Cayman Island.
    * Both Manafort and Gates were frequent travelers to Cyprus. "Extensive travel of this nature further evidences a risk of flight," the prosecutor's filing said.
    * Manafort wrote on loan applications and other financial documents that his assets were worth between $19 million in April 2012 and $136 million in May 2016.
    * In some months, like while he served as Trump's national campaign chairman in August 2016, Manafort's assessment of his total worth fluctuated. In August 2016 he said his assets were worth $28 million, then wrote he had $63 million in assets on a different application.
    * Gates "frequently changed banks and opened and closed bank accounts," prosecutors said. In all, Gates opened 55 accounts with 13 financial institutions, the prosecutors' court filing said. Some of his bank accounts were in England and Cyprus, where he held more than $10 million from 2010 to 2013.

I wonder who’s money they’re going to follow now? Kushner’s? Ivanka’s? Donny Jr.’s? I have a feeling that eventually they’ll be following Trump’s.  Just a feeling, a brilliant brilliance of a feeling, feeling brilliantly. Treasury always gets their man. Follow the money, from Russia with love and a PTape, all the way to impeachment.

Looks as if the president is trying to dictate the outcome of a trial this morning. That's not a gross abuse of his powers or anything....nah

And saying, twice, that this guy should get the death penalty won't help this guy's defense in their attempts at getting his case thrown out or anything....nah

If you support this president, there's is something wrong with you.

do you think a president shouldnt have an opinion on events? what about a senator? congressperson? NY state legislator?
you think an opinion from a president is grounds for getting this case tossed?

it most certainly is. his defense team could argue he won't get a fair trial, with millions of people following his every move on twitter and on the news. and they'd probably win.

a president, or any government official, should never, ever, comment on a case pending before the courts.

Having an opinion is different than sharing that opinion. Most people understand that difference, though I'm not sure Trump does.

It could be. He has contaminated the jury pool. A good defense attorney will talk about that. We can't have people undermining our judicial systems. They are a basis for a civilized society and we agree to the rules. A president swore to uphold the constitution and our judicial system is part of that. He screwed up.

Now we’re in a jam. The president, who was going to make us great again, actually resents the Constitution and the values within it. Wish we had a heads up on this...
